If you are tuning into Suits LA on NBC at 9p and expecting to see the Suits you knew on USA, you will be disappointed. But not getting a ripoff is not a bad thing.
That works for and against it. Suits focused on Harvey and Mike’s dynamic with the people at the law firm assisting the storyline. And it worked because there were just six leads. Everyone had their purpose and different roles.
Suits LA has too many characters, and too many are fighting someone else for a position.
Ted Black (Stephen Amell) is a former NY mob attorney who moved to LA to get away from that job and his father.
Stuart Lane (Josh McDermitt) is a criminal defense lawyer who owns an entertainment law firm, and he persuades his old friend Black to join him and merge their firms. But neither man is sold on the idea.
Ted has two entertainment lawyers, who both want to run the firm’s entertainment department.
Rick Dodson (Bryan Greenberg) has been promised the job. He is not the best closer, but there are a lot of other things he is good at, which makes him the right person for the job.
Erica (Lex Scott Davis) also wants the job and is the best closer. She will do anything to get it. Even though Ted keeps telling her, the title is going to Rick.
Leah (Alice Lee) is treated like Erica’s assistant, but she is a lawyer and wants more responsibility that her boss won’t give her. Therefore, she will go around her boss’ back to get help from others.
And there are more people who work at the firm and play other roles. But I couldn’t keep track.
The show’s biggest downfall is using real stars to play themselves in stupid scenarios. It works when Victoria Justice plays someone else but not when Patton Oswalt and Brian Baumgartner play themselves. It ruins the series and takes you away from the episode because it feels so misplaced.
It might sound like I don’t like this show, but I do. I just think as it goes on, they will need to tighten the scripts and stop having so many rivalries. We fell in love with Louis Litt, but none of these characters have gotten to his level yet. And I hope they do.
I say we need to give the legal drama a chance because it has potential.
Kerry Washington won the Outstanding Actress in a Motion Picture for The Six Triple Eight at yesterday’s 2025 NAACP Image Awards. She gave her acceptance speech, and everyone thought she was done. So, the show moved on and announced the next presenters.
However, the actress forgot to thank someone. So, she went over to the mic to thank him. But the audio was cut off. Therefore, she walked over to where Beyond the Gates’ Clifton Davis and Karla Mosley were about to announce the next category’s nominees.
Then, she hijacked their mic, and said, “These guys have an amazing show that is premiering soon [tomorrow on CBS]. But I did not thank Tyler Perry [the man behind The Six Triple Eight.]”
There was only one problem. The audience reminded her that she did. And with that, she walked off the stage with her tail between her legs.
Personally, as cute as that was, I think what she did was wrong. It took away from Clifton and Mosley. But as a girl from The Bronx like her, I completely understood what she did. Because you can take a girl out of the Bronx, but you can never ever take the Bronx out of a girl!
Now, over to Tyler Perry. He was touched by what she did and commented about it on social media: “Wow!! MOVED TO TEARS. I can honestly tell you that I live my life never, ever doing a good thing expecting something in return… I give, do, help, try, and lift us up because IT’S JUST THE RIGHT THING TO DO. Why did this move me so much? Because I’ve helped thousands of people—literally thousands of people—live better lives, and I can honestly say, for me to receive a THANK YOU is very rare. So to see someone interrupt a live show to say thank you when she already had moved me to tears.
“To anyone out there who is doing good and that good is ignored, not appreciated, or questioned… JUST KEEP DOING GOOD ANYWAY! Because IT’S RIGHT! GOD will reward you!”
Personally, he should be thanked more often because he has done so much for his actors, which he is loyal to.

Neighbours is Australia’s longest-running Soap Opera, even though it has been cancelled several times.
The series was once again saved, this time by FreeVee, and it looked like it was going to have a place to live for a while. But that is no longer the case because it was evicted after two seasons by Prime Video, who took over for the defunct Freevee.

The news is not all bad. The show will celebrate 40 in March with a special week of episodes. And the show will continue to air new episodes until December. Maybe by then, another network/streamer will save it.
