Today, Disney released the full trailer for Aladdin and it is better than the teaser. Is it enough to make you want to go see the live-action remake on May 24th?
For me, it is a no. I will never forgive Guy Richie for Swept Away. That and I don’t want to see Will Smith be Will Smith as the Genie. There is a difference between Robin Williams being Robin Williams and Will Smith being Will Smith. The former was a comedic genius and the latter is just one note.
While I will not be seeing it, that does not mean tons of families won’t be rushing to the theaters on their flying carpets. Aladdin is still a favorite with kids.
Before Milo Ventimiglia was the bad boy on American Dreams, he realized his American dream of being an actor on Fresh Prince of Bel Air. How cute was the 18-year-old making his acting debut back in 1997?

Just when I thought that Guy Ritchie could never do a movie worse than Swept Away, I found out he can. That film will be the live-action version of Aladdin that is coming out on May 24th.
Instead of going to see this movie Memorial Day Weekend, we should watch the cartoon version and memorialize Robin William as the Genie. Who wants to see Will Smith prove to us he should not be a member of the Blue Man Group?
The difference between Williams and Will is Robin could do many different characters and Smith can only do one. That is why we adored the Genie so much. Who wants to watch Smith be himself throughout the movie? They should have gone with Eddie Murphy or one of the Wayans. At least they would be more entertaining than Smith.
I will say something positive. At least we know Smith will be all over the Razzie Awards.
So, you know, that like new trending thing on social media is the #FacebookChallenge. Where you post your first and last profile photos to see how much you have aged since you joined the site? Well, Will Smith and Martin Lawrence did the same thing in a way.
The two actors, who begin filming Bad Boys 3 tomorrow (it is really happening), stood in front of themselves in a screenshot from the first movie that came out in 1995. So it is how they looked almost 25 years ago and today. Just ike your friends and family and friends on Facebook, they haven’t aged a day. Unlike your friends and family, I am sure they are going to feel it once they start doing the crazy stunts. They are not as young as they use to be and they are harder to do.
On September 25th, Will Smith is going to turn the big 5-0! What is he going to do to make it unforgettable? He is going to bungee jump, out of a helicopter, over the Grand Canyon, live on YouTube. Why? Not because he is crazy, although it sounds like he is, but because he is doing it for charity.
If all goes well, he will have a great story to tell everyone for the rest of his life. If it does not go well, well then he does not have a rest of a life to tell the story. But I am sure everyone is going to make sure it is very safe for him. They don’t want the man in black to become the man is splat.
It is that risk that is going to have us glued to our computer screens to see what happens during Will Smith: The Jump. Will Will Smith live to see 51?
I just hope there is a video before he jumps of Jada Pinkett Smith ripping him a new one for doing this. How hot would that be? I think that would get more views than the jump itself.
