Will Ferrell was scheduled to do The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon and Ryan Reynolds was slated to do Jimmy Kimmel Live yesterday. However, they both showed up at the other actor’s talk show.
The two Spirited actors have created such a bond after harmonizing to Mika’s Grace Kelly that they are willing to do anything for the other one. Things like promote the other person’s project instead of their own during the other actor’s late night appearance. So, Ferrell talked about Netflix’s Red Notice while Reynolds divulged about The Shrink Next Door on Apple TV+. Both projects start streaming tomorrow.
What did they know about their roles? Nothing! That is what made this Freaky Friday on a Wednesday even funnier. I hope they do this again when their soon-to-be Christmas classic comes out at some time.
Do you think the hosts knew about the switch? I kind of feel like Kimmel didn’t, but I am not sure about Fallon.
It has been 15 years since Mika recorded his single Grace Kelly, yet it is having a resurgence on TikTok now. That is because there is a challenge where people are singing the first four lines of the chorus in different ways as the singer did throughout his song.
The challenge has gotten so popular that Ryan Reynolds thought he would give it a try. However, he needed a little help with the higher octaves, so his Spirited Molly Edwards co-star Will Ferrel decided to assist, whether Reynolds wanted him to or not.
When it came time to sing the last verse, the actors were able to harmonize as one. That is when I realized it took the two of them to sound like one Mika.
Since I am talking about Mika, you should download his album Life in Cartoon Motion. It is my favorite whole CD from that decade. I listened to it over and over again. And I still do. It is just so happy and positive.
Just like watching Reynolds and Ferrell duet. If this is a hint of what their Christmas musical is going to be like, I can’t wait to see the movie when it comes out.
I could brown, I could be blue. I could be violet sky. I could be hurtful, I could be purple. I could be anything you like.” Admit it; it stuck in your head too.
Will Ferrell was on The Graham Norton Show last week, and the BBC host wanted to know if he kept any mementos from any of his sets. Of course, he did, and he might have one of the most unusual ones of them all.
The first one was kind of boring, cause it was just a ring he wore in Anchorman. However, the next one took balls to steal. That is because they are the fakie testicles he used in the movie Stepdad with Mark Wahlberg. Now, the two actors have a set. You know since, Ferrell has the balls and Marky Mark has the prosthetic penis from Boogie Nights. Who wants to see those two items together?
BTW I could totally see Ferrell taking those out as the most inopportune times.
It has been nine years since Susan Lucci said goodbye to her iconic All My Children character, but yesterday she transformed into Erica Kane for Jimmy Fallon’s The Longest Days of our Lives.
What is that? It is a weekly soap opera that airs on The Tonight Show, and it stars Fallon, Will Ferrell, and Kristen Wiig. Yesterday, they had some special guest stars like Lucci. She was not the only soap star because it also included Days’ Mary Beth Evans, General Hospital’s Maurice Bernard, and Dynasty’s Heather Locklear. There was some guy named Jake Gyllenhaal that was also part of it.
Anyways they all did it to help raise money for the Actor’s Fund that supports actors and crew members who are out of work due to COVID-19.
Sometimes when a celebrity is on late night talk show, the host asks them to play a game. Yesterday, when Will Ferrell was on The Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon asked him to play the Whisper Game. It is quite simple. One person wears headphones playing music and has to guess what the other person is saying.
Well, the Elf was not having it. Instead of saying “Baby Yoda”, he went off on a rant. One that there was no way that the NBC host could have guessed. Which made it the funniest thing I have ever seen Ferrell do.
