On Monday NBC announced that Shakira would be a coach on the spring edition of The Voice, and today the singer made another big announcement. The woman who can shake her hips better than anyone is pregnant with her first child. She broke the news on her site by saying, “As some of you may know, Gerard and I are very happy awaiting the arrival of our first baby! At this time we have decided to give priority to this unique moment in our lives and postpone all the promotional activities planned over the next few days.”
According to Huff Post Voces back in mid-August she was about 17 weeks pregnant back then (although in the picture that Shakira Tweeted on 9/12 she doesn’t look that far along) and expecting the little one around the beginning of the New Year. If that is the case, then what does that mean for The Voice? Will that give her enough time after having the baby to do the show? Will her pregnancy affect when she can tape the blind auditions since the fall edition is already on the air and two of the coaches are tied up doing that for the next few months. An email sent to the show’s publicists has yet to be answered.
Tonight is the third season premiere of The Voice on NBC at 8p and the four mentors are going to start the season off with The Rolling Stones’ Start Me Up. I always love when Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Christina Aguilera do a number together because even though they each sing a different types of music off the show, they make beautiful music together on it. And I can’t wait to hear what new and amazing voices we will hear from the singing competition this time around.
Adam Levine was on The Tonight Show yesterday and he did his best Blake Shelton for Jay Leno. It is scary how much the rocker sounds like the country star! I guess with their Bromance, it has helped him to perfect that Southern Drawl he Honey Bee has.
I can’t wait to see if the Maroon 5 singer can also imitate his other Voice mentors Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green. Could you picture what he do with Xtina? Hopefully he will do them too when the show returns to NBC this Monday.
Christina Aguilera was getting ready to film The Voice and Fame Flynet caught her before she went into hair, makeup and costume; and you know what I think she looks better au naturale. Seriously she is a pretty girl naturally, I don’t know why she puts on all of that foundation, blush, mascara and red lipstick.
Cee Lo Green was performing in Miami the other night and he revealed his big beautiful belly. Not only does he have a sexy voice, we now know he has a sexy body too. Hopefully when The Voice comes back in the fall, he will be taking off his top all the time. If he did, I am sure it would get the ratings up.
