Joan Van Ark and Christopher Knight are Totally Tracked Down tonight!
May 20th, 2014 under Reelz, The Brady Bunch. [ Comments: none ]

Tonight at 12m on Reelz Channel’s Totally Tracked Down, Marshall Jay Kaplan tracks down The Brady Bunch’s Christopher Knight and Knots Landing’s Joan Van Ark at 12:30a.
Kaplan is a Canadian journalist who loves pop culture and TV shows from his childhood. In each episode he will try to track down his favorite celebrities through their friends, family and employees. By talking to all of them, we find out more about the actor he is looking for, including things you never knew about them.
On tonight’s episode we find out about Peter Brady’s not-so-Brady family life as a kid from his older brother, what his co-star Barry Williams thinks about him and how far his ex-wife Adrienne Curry will go to entertain Marshall. Then finally Marshall gets to meet the middle Brady son and it is everything he hoped for.
On tonight’s second episode, Marshall goes the cul de sac where they filmed Knots Landing and he talks to the woman who lives in Val Ewing’s house now. When she has no information on where Ark is now, he moves on to her assistant, hairdresser, co-star Michelle Lee and her husband. Of course the last one leads him to his favorite diva and he chases after her, literally. That’s because she is going for a run in the Hollywood Hills. She agrees to talk to him, only if he goes for a run with her. But that is not an easy way to talk to someone, so she invites him to her house and he gets to chat with her in her bed. A total dream come true for him. Although she kind of kills the mood when she reveals what makes her marriage works. You will want to tune in to hear that. That and to get to know your favorite celebrities like you have never known them before. And you also get to find out where they are now and what they are doing.
I love where are they now shows and this one is really entertaining because it is unlike any show that came before it.

A mini Brady Bunch reunion show!
May 20th, 2013 under 70s, The Brady Bunch. [ Comments: none ]

Forty years ago the cast of the Brady Bunch shot an episode at King’s Island in Ohio and yesterday Barry Williams, Christopher Knight and Susan Olsen put on a mini reunion show there. It was like an adult version of The Brady Bunch Variety Hour, as in it came with cursing and they gave details you never would’ve heard on the show back in the day!
The trio shared behind the scenes stories from the show, what they are up to now, updates on the cast members who weren’t there, the oldest Brady kid sang The Real Greg Brady to the tune of that Eminem song and so much more.
So sit back and recapture your youth as you watch this mini-reunion of one of our favorite shows when we were growing. Let’s be real we all watched The Brady Bunch.
Here is the episode where they went to King’s Island, if you want to watch it again!

Ryan Seacrest compared The Kardashians to The Brady Bunch
November 27th, 2012 under Jimmy Kimmel, Ryan Seacrest, The Brady Bunch, The Kardashians. [ Comments: none ]

Ryan Seacrest was on Jimmy Kimmel Live yesterday and Kimmel told him that he hasn’t apologized to America yet for making them the celebrities that they are today. Which I completely think he needs to do. Instead of admitting his mistake the American Idol host said they are a blessing. Then Seacrest said, “They are today’s Brady Bunch.” Kimmel and I had the same reaction, WTF are you talking about Ryan? The Brady Bunch?
Let’s see the Bradys were a wholesome family whose biggest issues were Greg smoking a cigarette, Marsha saying she got Davy Jones for the dance when she didn’t and Jan not wearing her glasses. Now let’s look at the Kardashian, Kim has a boring sex tape and her second marriage lasted only 72 days, Khloe wore a see thru shirt with no bra showing off her nipples on her first day of hosting The X Factor, Bruce Jenner had some bad plastic surgery and Kris is rumored to have cheated on her first husband. Yeah I see how they are the new Brady…not. The only way I can say they are alike is that they melded their families together, but then again when was the last time you saw Bruce’s kids from his first wife on their show or in their lives? At least on the Brady Bunch we saw both families together all of the time.
So Ryan you might think your little money makers are the new Brady Bunch, but sorry to tell you you are the only one who feels that way.
Basically what I am saying is leave The Bradys alone!!!

Who would ever think that Vince Vaughn loves The Brady Bunch?
July 31st, 2012 under Frat Pack, The Brady Bunch. [ Comments: none ]

Out of all the people that I could think of that would love The Brady Bunch, Vince Vaughn was on the bottom of my list. But I guess you can’t always assume what people like because he is working on bringing the show back. According to Deadline he came up with the idea and started working with writer Mike Mariano (Raising Hope, My Name Is Earl) on it. Like 90210 and Dallas, it will be about the next generation and this time little Bobby Brady is all grown up and he is a divorced father who married someone else who also is divorced with kids and together they have a kid of their own. Not only will the youngest Brady son, his wife and their kids be part of the show, so will their spouses who are still a part of their lives. In other words it a modern family Brady Bunch style.
Right now the show just has a script order, so it might not go any further then that but in Hollywood you never know.
Since the show is just in the early stages, we don’t know if Mike Lookinland will reprise his role or if any of the other Bradys will be part of the updated show. Personally I hope that is the case because having Larry Hagman, Patrick Duffy and Linda Gray on Dallas is what makes the great show even better.

Danny Bonaduce and Barry Williams talk about Bigfoot
June 30th, 2012 under Syfy, The Brady Bunch. [ Comments: none ]

Tonight at 9p on Syfy Danny Partridge and Greg Brady, I mean Danny Bonaduce and Barry Williams, stop fighting each other long enough to fight the baddest Bigfoot you have ever seen. Bonaduce plays a radio DJ/concert promoter who is planning a huge ’80s rock concert starring Alice Cooper in the woods, so he has been chopping down the trees to make room for it. Williams is his ex-friend and former singer who is trying to stop the concert. A freak snow storm in Seattle will bring Bigfoot out to the show and he is not happy to be woken up from his sleep. So the legendary creature will be going around killing everyone in his path. Will the former-friends, now rivals be able to stop him or will he kill everyone in the small town? You have to tune into this fun campy movie, that was directed by Bruce Davison, to see what happens to believe it. Be prepared to laugh the hardest you have ever laughed since you watched The Brady Bunch and The Partridge Family as a kid.
On that I spoke to your elementary school crushes on a conference call earlier this week and here is what they told me. When asked if it was to get the ’70s stars in the movie Barry Williams said it was easy for him to do it as long as Danny Bonaduce was in it. But he did have one clause, “as long as I can beat him up I’ll do the movie.” I will give you a little spoiler, he got what he wanted. Now when it comes to the red head, he heard that he was cast in the movie two years before he really was. That part was never explained, but it definitely makes an interesting story.
So what are the two men doing now and where can you hear and see them today. Danny is a morning DJ in Seattle for KZOK 102.5 and you can listen to him online if you are not in Washington. Barry is in Branson, Mo doing a live show called A Brady Lunch with Greg Brady. He described it as “I have the new Brady Bunch kids with me. So they are all…in costume, original choreography. We’re doing all the music. It’s multimedia. It’s, you know, I’m using support clips and graphics and photos and stories.” So if you are in Branson, it is a must see. When I asked them if there is any chance that they would do a tour together like Debbie Gibson and Tiffany did after Mega Piranha vs Gatoroid, they didn’t count it out they just don’t know what they would do. So if some brilliant promoter could come up with something, they are ready for it and I am ready to see it.
