May 22nd, 2015 under Star Trek. [ Comments: none ]

George Takei was so happy that he raised almost $450,000 for his legacy project fundraiser raising money for the Japanese American National Museum and Allegiance on Broadway that he did a happy dance. Sulu put on RuPual’s Supermodel (You Better Work) and work he did! So sit back and enjoy the happiest dance you will see in this galaxy and all the other ones too.

Before Chris Pine was Captain Kirk in the Star Trek movies, he was Lord Nicholas Devereaux in The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement. How charming was the 23 year old in that 2004 movie?

Why didn’t Chris Pine go into soaps?
March 25th, 2015 under Chris Pine, James Corden, Star Trek. [ Comments: none ]

Chris Pine and Patricia Arquette were guests on The Late Late Show with James Corden yesterday and the CBS late night host asked them to act out a scene from The Young & The Restless. Captain Kirk went all out for it. He put on a wig, unbuttoned his shirt, kissed any face he could and broke everything in his path. By the end of the scene, I felt that his talent is wasted on the big screen. I think he should be doing the small screen in the afternoon instead. He was born to act on soap operas, don’t you agree?
When it comes to Corden, this sketch proves to me that he’s the British version of Jimmy Fallon. Do you see what I see?

BTWF roles: William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy on Man from UNCLE

Before William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy boldly went where no man went before on Star Trek, they went to a Man from UNCLE. How awesome is it to see the two 31 year olds getting along so smashingly back in 1964, years before their lives would change forever.

This tribute to Leonard Nimoy is out of this world!
February 28th, 2015 under NASA, Star Trek. [ Comments: none ]

Leonard Nimoy passed away yesterday at the age of 83 and NASA took his death very hard. Today, Terry W Virts, one of the astronauts on the International Space Station decided to honor the Dr Spock. He did so by giving him the Vulcan Salute while looking out at the final frontier.
If that doesn’t say Live Long and Prosper, I don’t know what does! I know that the star of Star Trek is looking down at him, giving him the salute as he breaks the Vulcan emotional code and smiles because of all of the love he has been getting over the last day.
