Ashton Kutcher swims in the Shark Tank and survives!
September 25th, 2015 under ABC, Ashton Kutcher, Shark Tank. [ Comments: none ]

Shark Tank is back for its 7th season tonight at 9p on ABC and they were lucky enough to get Ashton Kutcher to be the 5th judge.
Ashton and the other Sharks Mark Cuban, Kevin O’Leary, Lori Greiner and Robert Herjavec have some interesting items to look at tonight. Some of the entrepreneurs will go home with an investor or 2 and some will go home empty handed.
The first item they look at is a device you can put on your shoulder that grips a baby bottle, so you can have a free hand hand while you feed the baby. Something you think the new dad would be interested in, but is he? The next item is portable transportation you wear on your feet. Imagine slipping on a pair of wheels over your shoes that will transport you up to 10 mph. Sounds cool? Wait until you see the Sharks try them on. Luckily, they tried them out before they sampled the alcohol drink mixes which use apple cider vinegar as a natural preservative. Sounds gross, but will they like it? My favorite item of the night is a card you can put in your wallet that prevents hackers from stealing your identity. It wasn’t only my favorite, several of the Sharks liked it too and that leads to a bidding war. Which Shark(s) will that entrepreneur hook in and take home with him? You will just have to tune in for another thrilling episode to find out.
When it comes to the actor/mogul, he really handled himself better than any guest Shark in the past. While almost all of the other replacements for the night bowed down to Mr Wonderful, he didn’t take his crap. He was respectful, but also forceful. He was the same way to the entrepreneurs and he asked knowledgeable questions and gave them some helpful criticism. I hope they find a way to bring him back to show again and again. You will be surprised by how intelligent he is comes off tonight, he is so not Kelso in real life.
When it comes to the rest of the season, I can’t wait to see what other products the Sharks invest their money in. I know, I will be watching every week on the edge of my seat with my Scrub Daddy to see what items I will be looking to buy in the stores the next day.

Ashton Kutcher is going to be a guest Shark on Shark Tank!
July 20th, 2015 under ABC, Airbnb, Ashton Kutcher, Shark Tank. [ Comments: none ]

Ashton Kutcher didn’t only play a tech mogul on Two and a Half Men, he is one in real life. So when one of the Sharks needed some time off from Shark Tank, the producers thought he would be the perfect Shark to swim in their water. That’s right, he going to sit on the panel and offer up his own money if he likes what he hears from the entrepreneurs.
In case you don’t know how successful he is outside of acting, here are some of the companies he as invested in in the past. Ron Burkle, Guy Oseary and him created the venture fund A-Grade investments in 2011 and invested in Airbnb, Spotify, Uber, Flipboard, SoundCloud, Foursquare, Shazam and Houzz. Then last year Oseary and him founded Sound Ventures and helped to fund Pager, Handy, Meerkat, Zenefits, Classpass and more. I don’t know about you, but I think that proves he is more than qualified for the job,
In fact, I hope that Mark Burnett is auditioning Kutcher for another show he does called The Celebrity Apprentice. How amazing would he be to replace The Donald? I’d tune in every week. Plus, imagine the celebrities that would jump at the chance to be in his boardroom?
Back to Shark Tank, Ashton is not the only guest Shark who is going to appear on the show this season. Chris Sacca, Former Google Exec, Venture Capitalist and Tech Veteran, and Troy Carter, Entertainment Mogul, Branding Expert and Investor, are also slated to appear on the show.

Beyond the Tank takes you beyond the Shark Tank
May 1st, 2015 under ABC, Shark Tank. [ Comments: none ]

Many of us have spent our Friday nights watching Tank on ABC, wondering what happens to the entrepreneurs after they leave the room. For the most part, the only way we know if they are successful or not is if we see their products on the shelves or on TV.
Tonight at 9p, Beyond the Tank updates us on their success or failure. For the next three weeks, not only do they look at the people who got a deal, but also some of them who didn’t.
On the premiere episode, Robert Herjavec visits Tipsy Elves, who make a different kind of Christmas sweater. We find out what they have been up to, how much they made and how they plan to branch out.
Also on the show, Desmond John visits Deboned Baby Back Ribs, who makes boneless ribs and he hit a major snag after the show. John tells him to fix it or he is walking away. What will he do?
Finally, Carter Kostler didn’t get an offer in the tank for his Define Bottle, but the 16 year old didn’t let that stop him. See what he has been doing since he was rejected from the popular show.
Even though Beyond the Tank is only going to be on for three weeks, the show definitely makes a case for becoming a weekly series. So tune in to ABC tonight, next Friday and the Friday after at 9p post Shark Tank to find out what happens after we saw them last.

Mark Cuban goes from the Shark Tank to Sharknado!
March 2nd, 2015 under Shark Tank, Syfy. [ Comments: none ]

If Mark Cuban thought dealing with Mr Wonderful on Shark Tank was deadly, that ain’t nothing as compared to what he is going to have to deal with Sharknado 3. The Mavericks’ Coach is taking on a role he was born to play because he is going to star as the President of the United States in the third Sharknado movie on Syfy. Who will be is Vice President? Barbara Corcoran? Lori Greiner? As awesome as that would be, his #2 is better than that. It is Ann Coulter. No word if they are Democrats or Republicans, but let’s be real all politicians are sharks!
The two non-actors join other guest stars like Bo Derek, Jerry Springer, Chris KirkPatrick and Chris Jericho.
Sharknado 3 debuts in July and takes place January 2017. Wonder if that will give Cuban the idea to really run for President of the United States. If he did, he would have my vote.

Dancing with the Stars announced today on Good Morning America who their “stars” are this season and there are actually some stars on it. Legendary singer Patti LaBelle is ready to reveal her new attitude to the world on the dancing competition. Hopefully she will have a better run on it than she did on American Horror Story: Freak Show. Then we find out if Thighmaster Suzanne Somers can master the dance floor. Finally, if the nicest Shark, Robert Herjavec, thought the other Sharks were tough competition, he ain’t seen nothing yet. Dancing with the Stars is a whole different type of shark infested waters.
