Back in the ’80s, Rob Lowe and Robert Downey Jr. were part of the infamous Brat Pack, but yet the two of them never did a movie together. Can you like totally believe that? Finally, after 30 years, the two of them did something together. They took this photo at Gwyneth Paltrow’s wedding this weekend.
I know that John Hughes is no longer with us, but there has to be a way to do a movie with all the Brat Packers. Fifty Candles at the Brunch Club?

Tonight at 8p, Lifetime airs the third telling of the psychological thriller The Bad Seed. Emma (Mckenna Grace) looks like a sweet girl, but she has a very evil side to her.
David (Rob Lowe) is a single father trying to raise his 9-year-old daughter all by himself. She is an overachieving brilliant girl that some might say is a little strange. David needs to work, so he hires a nanny to take care of her. It seems like everything is perfect…
Until the boy that beat Emma for an award goes missing and is found dead. He is not the only person in Emma’s life who winds up dead. Will they be able to stop her before no one is left alive? You will want to watch this chilling telemovie directed by Lowe to find out.
Grace nails pure evil like a child actress never should. Something I am sure she picked up from Patty McCormack, who played the lead in the 1954 movie and the psychiatrist in this version.

Michael Saltzman broke the sad news that his show Code Black will not be back next season on CBS. He wrote, “Dear #CodeBlack fans, the sad news came today that we were cancelled. It’s been a true joy to make this show and watch your response every week. Thank you for all of your passion. Truly, our best episodes have yet to air. We hope you’ll watch and enjoy them. We made them for you.”
I have seen the remaining episodes and he is not overexaggerating how good those episodes truly are. Will fans be upset with the, now, series finale? He addressed that and said, “We always suspected this would be the last season. We wrote it to end that way.” Again, having seen that episode, I think fans will be very satisfied with the ending.
I am sad to see this medical drama go because it was a different take than the other shows like it. Because of that, it was a fast-paced enjoyable hour of television. Plus, it had a really great cast that includes Marcia Gay Harden, Luis Guzman, Ben Hollingsworth and Rob Lowe. I wish CBS would have kept it around as a summer show, but at least we have the remaining episodes that air Wednesdays at 10p.

Tonight at 10p, Code Black checks in for a third season on CBS. Mama (Luis Guzman) and Papa (Marcia Gay Harden) have their hand fulls at one of the busiest ERs in the country.
The episode starts off with the new interns and they are going to have a busy first day ahead of them. Col. Ethan Willis (Rob Lowe) is a field doctor this season and he is going to ride along with Rox Valenzuela (Moon Bloodgood). Their first case together is a shootout at a house where they have powder Fentanyl. They have to save the victims of both the gunshots and the ones who inhaled the drug. Both are equally as fatal.
While they are out in the field Dr. Leanne Roris (Harden) brings her foster daughter (Emily Alyn Lind) into work as a candy striper. Ariel will meet a boy with cancer and fall in love. Not only that she will learn a lot about life while she works at the hospital.
In the coming weeks, they will deal with a warehouse collapse, a road rage incident, a 12-year-old girl who is alone on a plane with her mom who is passed out, deadly wildfires, an accident at a step competition, a boat explosion, a kid who drinks boiling water, one of their own who is injured in a hit and run, and finally a plane crash.
If that is not enough to deal with, they have to deal with their personal lives too. There will be loss, love and so much more. They are a make-shift family in all of this madness.
Be prepared to laugh and cry with each episode. And next week get ready to dance along with a musical number that opens the show. There is a reason for it and the cast and crew went all out for this song and dance number.
Code Black is the perfect mix of medical and personal drama rolled into one great show. One that heats up our summer nights and gives us the adrenaline to get through the rest of week.
Whether you have seen this show before or tonight will be the first time, you will quickly be hooked on this thrilling medical drama that has a lot of heart as they are saving lives.
