The Rocky Horror Picture Show cast reunite! |
October 6th, 2015 under Meat Loaf/Jim Steinman, Reunions, Susan Sarandon, Tim Curry. [ Comments: none ]

Can you believe it has been 40 years since The Rocky Horror Picture Show came out? Well it has been and 6 of the cast members from the movie got together to do an interview with Today. They are Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon, Barry Bostwick, Meat Loaf and Patricia Quinn.
Sadly, Today f*cked it up by editing their reunion as a package instead of doing a live Q&A with them. Even though we didn’t hear much from the legends, we did learn how Curry came up with the character he created for Dr. Frank-N-Furter and Sarandon talked about getting pneumonia while filming the movie.
Sadly, we didn’t hear enough from the actors, but it was great to see them all together again. What was even better was seeing how great Tim Curry is looking after his stroke. Can I tell you, I read that he lives in my little town. It is going to take all of my will power not to kidnap my niece and go trick or treating in my neighborhood to find out where he lives. Shhh, don’t tell. I just have been a fan of his ever since I saw him in Annie and then I had a new appreciation for him when I saw him Rocky Horror. He is just so gosh darn sexy in whatever he does.

C’mom, get happy, it’s a Partridge Family mini-reunion! |
August 3rd, 2015 under Reunions. [ Comments: none ]

Danny Bonaduce reunited with Shirley Jones at the Hollywood Show this weekend and the Partridge Family mother and son look as close ever. Can you believe she started playing his mom back in 1970 because it doesn’t look like 45 years has passed they started singing together.
I don’t have to think I love seeing them together, I know I love it. So much so, I would love to see a reunion show with the Shirley’s great grandchildren forming a band together with Danny, Keith, Laurie and Chris helping them out. Wouldn’t that be groovy?

A Back to the Future reunion! |
July 17th, 2015 under Freeform, Lea Thompson, Michael J Fox, Reunions. [ Comments: none ]
|
Believe it or not, it has been 30 years since Back to the Future came out. To honor the milestone, Marty McFly (Michael J Fox), his mom Lorraine (Lea Thompson) and Doc (Christopher Lloyd) reunited for the London Film Festival and Comic Con. Even though the movie came out in 1985, they haven’t aged a day since. Maybe it is time they do Back to the Future 4?
2015 is a big year for the trilogy for another reason because that’s the year that Back to the Future 2 took place. Recently, I spoke with Lea Thompson about that and I asked her what it is like living in this version of 2015 after living in the other one. She told me, “I think when we were doing Back to the Future 2, I think we all knew it was a kitchy version of the future. It was very dark and kitchy.” Then she added, “I don’t think any of us actually thought that 2015 would look like that. When you’re doing a movie about the future, you kind of have to put flying cars in even though it will never happen.” She explained, “Nobody wants to get in a flying car, I just don’t want to. It’s too dangerous.” She concluded the question with, “It’s interesting because in the 2015 version of Back to the Future, I was like 85 or something. Getting old is weird anyway, but to have it be marked by that is kind of an interesting experience for me.”
Her character didn’t look 85 in the movie and she doesn’t look 54 today. She still looks like the teen she played in the film that changed her life and many fans’ lives all over the world.
Thompson has been working nonstop since the Back to the Future franchise and on August 24th you will be able to see her in Switched at Birth‘s midseason premiere on ABC Family.

The cast of Eight is Enough got together to remember Dick Van Patten |
June 30th, 2015 under Reunions. [ Comments: none ]
|
Last week Dick Van Patten passed away, and yesterday his former cast members got together to remember him. Even though it has been 34 years since the show ended, the surviving cast look just as close as they did when they played a family back in the late ’70s.
They reunion included (from L to R) Willie Aames, Dianne Kay, Laurie Walters, Connie Newton, Adam Rich, Betty Buckley, Brian Patrick Clarke(?), Grant Goodeve and Joan Prather. Missing is Lani O’Grady, who passed away in 2001, and Susan Richardson, who has suffered with many health issues.
Even though they reunited for a sad occasion, it truly is great to see them all together again looking so happy and good.

OMG! It’s Blair and Jo from The Facts of Life together again!!! |
April 16th, 2015 under Reunions, The Facts of Life. [ Comments: 1 ]

Blair and Jo might not have gotten along when they went to Eastland Academy, but in real life Lisa Whelchel and Nancy McKeon are still good friends after nearly 35 years. Can you believe it has been that long since Jo Polniaczek joined The Facts of Life? I can’t because both actresses look phenomenal. I think they look even better now, then when they worked at Edna’s Edibles.
If any ’80s show deserves a reboot, I say it is The Facts of Life! Who’s with me? Maybe Blair, Jo, Natalie and Tootie can be teachers at their alma mater? Or they come back for their reunion and decide to go into business together? Who cares, I want just Edna’s girls together again!
