The Rookie is coming back for season 9, and it is moving to a new night with its spinoff, The Rookie: North. The news was announced yesterday at New York Comic Con.
That is not all; Troian Bellisario is joining the series as a rookie. She will play Stevie, a divorced, single mother of two who will be assigned to John Nolan (Nathan Fillion).
Dulé Hill is also appearing on the LAPD police procedural as a watch commander, with some stuff going on.
Since The Rookie: North was ordered to series without a backdoor pilot, we will see Nolan in the series premiere.
Both shows premiere on Wednesday, January 6th on ABC and the next day on Hulu.
