Laurence Fishburne is not Samuel L Jackson!
October 22nd, 2014 under Queen Latifah, Samuel L Jackson. [ Comments: none ]

Back in February, KTLA’s Sam Rubin confused Samuel L Jackson for Laurence Fishburne, and it didn’t go over too well with the actor. So it became Jackson’s mission to prove that Fishburne and him are two different people. He even went as far as making up a T-shirt that reads, “I am not Laurence Fishburne.”
Up until now, the story has only been one-sided. Today on Queen Latifah‘s daytime talk show, she gets the black-ish star’s reaction to it all. Believe it or not, people confuse him for the Snakes on a Plane bad a$$. So the host made sure that that will never happen again because she gave him a shirt that says, “I am not Samuel L. Jackson”.
So now you know who is Samuel L Jackson and who is Laurence Fishburne. I think?

Watch Cookie Monster make cookies!
September 17th, 2014 under Queen Latifah, Sesame Street/Muppets. [ Comments: none ]

In all the years I have been watching Sesame Street, I don’t remember ever seeing Cookie Monster make cookies. Well that is no longer the case because today on Queen Latifah‘s daytime talk show, he made some chocolate chip cookies with some help from Elmo.
If this doesn’t put a smile on your face today, nothing will. I know I am grinning from ear to ear after watching this very sweet cooking segment.

Terry O’Quinn sings the Blues!
May 22nd, 2014 under Lost, Queen Latifah. [ Comments: none ]

It seems like whatever role Terry O’Quinn does he is always so gruff in it, but turns out he is also has a softer side. Today when he was on Queen Latifah’s show, he showed off his guitar playing skills and the soulful voice he has to sing the Blues. Is there anything John Locke can’t do? Because that impromptu ditty was pretty freakin’ perfect!
BTW you can watch him on the series premiere of Gang Related tonight on Fox at 9p.

Michael Jackson made Zac Efron cry
May 15th, 2014 under Queen Latifah, Zac Efron. [ Comments: none ]

Zac Efron was Queen Latifah‘s show today and he told his Hairspray co-star the story about the one time he talked to Michael Jackson on the phone. He was in France having dinner with the cast of High School Musical 3 and the director, when Kenny Ortega got a phone call from the King of Pop. He gave the phone to Zac and when he heard Michael’s voice, he cried and gave the phone back to Ortega. Jackson called back and spoke with Zac again, and this time he was able to tell him how much he idolized him, loved him and got in to the business because of him. After he admitted that to MJ, Zac started to cry and he left the room. When he was outside, Jacko started to cry with him and told him, “See Zac, dreams really do come true.”
What a sweet memory to all have to hold on to. And don’t you just love the sincere way he told the story. You almost feel like you were there with him on that amazing day.

William Shatner sings Queen Latifah’s Ladies First!
April 24th, 2014 under Queen Latifah, William Shatner. [ Comments: none ]

We have heard William Shatner sing The Beatles, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, and today on Queen Latifah‘s show he sang her 1990 hit Ladies First. Let’s just say his version of it is The Shat!
Who would’ve thought he could take her rap song and make it sound like it was always meant to be performed at the lounge. I mean, there are few discrepancies with him singing the lyrics word for word, but that’s just makes it so much better! To hear him sing about birthing babies and being the woman standing in front of us, just makes it that much better. Don’t take my word for it, watch Queen’s reaction it all. She is loving every second, just as you will.
BTW if you are like me and don’t remember or know the song, then you can listen to it below to hear how very different it sounds.
