On Saturday, Oprah Winfrey was talking to a packed audience at 2020 Vision: Your Life on Focus Tour, and then something happened to her. While she was talking about balance, she lost her balance and fell on the stage. All due to wearing the “wrong shoes.”
Since Oprah is an international treasure, everyone wanted to know how she is doing now. Yesterday, the mogul gave an update to her fans and said, “Sunday Reading and icing. Thank you all for your kind wishes. Yes I slipped on stage and I’m now a meme. But so grateful to be only a little sore.”
Thankfully, she is on the mend. As we know, nothing will ever keep Lady O down. Not even the wrong shoes.
Oprah Winfrey is on Ellen today and she told Ellen DeGeneres that she was very sick. In fact, she was just cleared to do the show the day before she taped today’s appearance.
Lady O was overseas and when she came back, she was not feeling well. She went to her doctor and he told her she had pneumonia. He gave her some antibiotics and sent her home.
A week goes by and she is actually worse. The doctor tells her to go to a lung specialist, so she does. As soon as the doctor heard her lungs, he had an, “oh 💩” face. He took 18 vials of blood, gave her an inhaler, antibiotics and sent her home.
However, he does not want her dying on his watch. Therefore, he called her every day to make sure she was following his orders. She did. When she went back a week later, she was feeling better. Yet, not as much as her doctor, who thanked her three times for getting better and gave her a hug.
No doctor wants to be the doctor responsible for not saving Oprah. Something that will not happen for many many many decades to come.
Thankfully, she is better now. My dad had pneumonia last year and it is no joke. If you think you have it, go to your doctor immediately.
Oprah Winfrey has more money than, well, Gd. Therefore, you would think she could afford someone to pack for her. Especially, since she hates to do it. Yet, the mogul does it herself.
Seeing is believing. Here is a video of her packing for a trip to Canada! Or you could say that Lady O is going to O Canada!
You know, Miss Winfrey, if you want to hire someone to pack for you, I am more than willing to do it. Who wouldn’t want that job?
Oprah Winfrey has so many job, you wonder what job the mogul does not have. Well, we now have an answer. She is no longer working for 60 Minutes as a correspondent, a job she started in September 2017.
She told The Hollywood Reporter why she quit that job. She said, “Never a good thing when I have to practice saying my name and have to be told that I have too much emotion in my name.” Then she explained what that means, “They would say, ‘All right, you need to flatten out your voice, there’s too much emotion in your voice.’ So I was working on pulling myself down and flattening out my personality — which, for me, is actually not such a good thing.”
That was not the first time Lady O heard that. Back when she was a local news reporter her bosses told her she was too emotional when she reported the news. She understands there is a fine line between being a journalist and being involved with the story. To her, the latter is more important.
Personally, I think 60 Minutes is a snoozefest. The can afford to add some emotion to their news hour. However, they are one of the top-rated shows on broadcast so I do not think they will ever change their ways.

While us peasants have our babies blessed by clergy, Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade are not like us. Their newborn daughter, Kaavia James, was blessed by Oprah Winfrey.
