It has been almost 20 years since Josh Nichols hit his idol, Oprah Winfrey, with his car on Drake & Josh, and fans of the show are still talking about that episode.
Case in point. Bri Morales recently got to ask Oprah Winfrey some questions for her Are You OK? podcast. The six-minute interview took place on the street. So, Bri opened up questions to her audience, and someone wanted to know if she knew about the Nickelodeon show and one of the characters being obsessed with her.
The Queen responded, “I hear that Josh likes me. I don’t even know why Josh likes me…I think that’s the coolest thing. Thanks, Josh!”
Well, when Josh Peck heard that, he immediately shared his reaction on social media. And he reacted just as you would expect him to react to Lady O knowing who he and the show are. His soul immediately left his body and ascended to heaven.
I mean, what is left that could top that for the actor? Even his three kids’ milestones will not compare to that. Not even close.
Oprah freaking Winfrey actually knew about the teenage family sitcom and his character’s obsession with her. How cool is that?
Imagine waiting two decades to find out that a woman as famous as Winfrey knew about your show and your character. And that is why we saw the mind-blown emoji come to life in that moment.
I think we need a Drake & Josh movie, and Oprah needs to do a cameo in it, taking Josh to court for violating the restraining order for the umpteenth time.
Oprah Winfrey was a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live, and he wanted to clear up some of the rumors about her.
He wanted to know things like will her dogs inherit $30 million and whether they will be able to piss on her grave, which will be under an oak tree on her Montecito property. The dogs are not getting that much money. As for the oak tree, it fell down during a storm, so she needs a new place to spend eternity.
If you think that is wild, wait until you hear what she bought Stevie Wonder as a present for singing at her 50th birthday party. She got the blind singer a Mercedes Maybach. Knowing him, he probably has driven it for fun.
And the strangest rumor that you would never believe is true is that she keeps an octopus in her fridge almost all of the time. Why? Her boyfriend Steadman loves to eat it for breakfast every day.
He doesn’t eat the octopus alone. He eats it with okra. So, Kimmel told Oprah, “He loves things that start with O.” And she laughed harder than I ever heard laugh!
Now, back to her answers. The rich definitely live differently than us.
Oprah Winfrey used to have Richard Simmons on her show all the time, but then she stopped. Today, The Weight Guru explained what went wrong.
I have a little lump in my throat as I write this. She is one of the most powerful and adored women. She is the queen of TV…an actress…producer…a book writer… and a lecturer. When she talks, everyone listens. She has billions of followers. All you have to think of is her first name. I am speaking about Oprah.
In the 80s, she flew me out to Baltimore, Maryland to do her local talk show. She greeted me with a smile and a hug. She dressed so beautifully. She was a fashionista. I still remember a long colorful silk scarf that draped around her upper body and tied on her shoulder. When I told her my story, she was interested and showed her happiness for me.
Later when she moved to Chicago, she had me on again. Again only kindness emanated from her. I watched her show every day. She could interview anybody and her audience adored her. When she walked on stage the audience went crazy.
One day she walked out pulling a red wagon …and in the wagon was some kind of lard or fat representing the amount of weight that she lost. Oprah wore a turtleneck and a pair of jeans. She radiated light.
I was coming out of a studio where I met a national gossip columnist named Cindy Adams. She was petite with perfect make up and coiffed hair. She asked me “what do you think of Oprah’s weight loss?” I replied “as long as Oprah exercises and eats healthy she will be fine.”
The next day she wrote a column and the headline was Richard Simmons thinks Oprah will gain all of her weight back and some. I never said that. She made it up to sell newspapers. I forgave Cindy because that is the kind of person that I am.
When Oprah read this I was erased from her life. I was never asked to be on her show again. She never ever forgave me for something I did not say.
I still respect Oprah. Her heart is filled with helping people just like me. I still remember the two times I did her show. I never talked to a gossip columnist again. The world is a better place because of Oprah.
I hope someone tells Mrs. O about this post, and she forgives him. Because if anyone could get him out of hiding. It is her.
Oprah Winfrey went to the Grammys on Sunday for the first time, and she ran into her old friend Lenny Kravitz.
And boy, was she happy to see him. I don’t remember ever seeing her smiling as big as she is here. But then again, who wouldn’t be grinning ear to ear seeing the singer?
