I am so with David Hasselhoff on this one. What you don’t see in that clip is that The Hoff walked off the show after they put him through. This season of America’s Got Talent has been really bad and if that is one of the better acts you can see what I am talking about.
I would pay money to see Shakira’s reaction to Boy Shakira because I know I am horrified and I am not even a Shakira fan.
It is so boring that NBC has trimmed what was suppose to be 6 half hours episodes in to 1 one hour special according to Zap2It. Ouch. And I am sure NBC is struggling just to edit that one hour special. There have been rumors that the people working on the show hate working with her and that she is boring and they thought they would get Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes but they didn't, so looks like there might be some truth the rumors.
NBC has been chronicling Posh Spice and David Beckham's move to the United States, and I guess what they expected and what they got were two different things. The head of Alternative Programming said that "Viewers will get a first-hand glimpse into what it's like to be one of the most sought-after celebrities in the world. Victoria's every move is documented by the paparazzi, but only our cameras have been allowed inside the world of what being Victoria Beckham is really like." I guess what her world is really like is not as interesting as the pictures the paparazzi have been taking of her.
If you actually want to check out Victoria Beckham: Coming to America you can do so on July 16th. I think I will be busy washing my hair, what about you?
Vincent D'Onofrio, Kathryn Erbe and Chris Noth are not happy that they will not be getting their annual 5% raise this year and have not signed their contracts yet according to The Hollywood Reporter. The actors have until 5p to accept the offer if they want to remain with the show.
The show is taking a major pay cut because it is moving from NBC to USA. So basically these actors should be happy with any check they are getting because if NBC canceled the show they would get nothing.
Newly appointed NBC head Ben Silverman wants Rosie O'Donnell to join NBC according to Fox 411. In fact he wants her to host a prime-time game show that he has been working on and a daily morning show like The View. I just hope one of those shows includes her with Donald Trump, since Silverman wants to bring back The Apprentice for some stupid reason.
Part of me is like, is Silverman trying to go for fifth place? But then another part of me knows she is a ratings getter and has a strong fan base. But then again she is someone that most people can only take in very small doses. It will be interesting to see if he gets her, less hours for me to watch on NBC if he does and I barely watch the network now as it is.
On the day that NBC announced that they are reworking their management team getting rid of Kevin Reilly they also announced they were getting rid of the super-sized comedies according to TV Week. Vince Manze, NBC's president of program planning, scheduling and strategy said, "It was a good idea when we started it. It was very novel. But it's just not a good idea to have shows starting at 9:23 p.m. I don't think anyone here thinks, at this point, super-sizing often is good for the shows. We're going to do our best to not have to do it next year." He added, "We're not only fooling people, we're fooling TiVos by being so far off on the times."
Manze explained how super-sizing came about, "If you try shows and they are not working, why not just extend the shows that are working? Since we couldn't afford two full episodes, this was a compromise that also gave us a great marketing hook." Super-sizing worked better when shows like Friends and Frasier were still on the network and helping make the network number one, but when they are barely placing third on Thursday nights, it doesn't seem to work anymore. I am happy they did away with super-sizing because I never thought it was a good idea in the first place
