Last year, Miley Cyrus hosted NBC’s New Year’s Eve special with Pete Davidson. Since he is so 2021, this year, Miley is getting a new co-host. Who is it going to be? Someone who is going to stay up past her 9 to 5 shift. That’s right. It is Dolly Parton.
The two legends will be joined in Miami by other musicians to be named at a later date. Personally, I think the two of them could do the whole show by themselves. Because they are who we are going to tune in to see.
Their Party in the USA will air from 10:30p-12:30a. And we will be watching because who else would you want to spend the ball drop with at midnight?
Miley Cyrus has had a rough couple of weeks. First, her plane was struck by lightning and had to make an emergency landing. Then her good friend, Taylor Hawkins, passed away suddenly. And now, the singer has tested positive for COVID-19.
“Traveling around the world, playin for a 100,000 people a night & meeting hundreds of fans a day the chances of getting Covid are pretty high. I have Covid now but it was definitely worth it,” Cyrus wrote. “Unfortunately because of this I’m missing out on Janie’s Fund which sucks because it’s a charity that’s super important to me & my friend Steven Tyler. I am feeling fine so don’t worry about me! Sorry Steven! We’ll have to ‘Walk This Way’ another time! 🖤🖤🖤”
Hopefully, this was the third bad thing to happen to her, and she will start to have good luck again.
It has been a tough week for Miley Cyrus, but the show must go on. And it did tonight in Brazil as Lollapalooza.
Before it did, the singer shared why tonight’s show had to go on for her.
Brazil …. I’ve had a really emotionally and physically stressful last few days. After having altitude sickness, my plane was struck by lightening & the first person I spoke to after the flight has now passed away… when I got to where I was going I had bronchitis!
I always feel better when I am honest. To be real I just want tonight’s show to be PERFECT for you… but I know none of you have ever loved me for being perfect … it’s actually been the opposite. You’ve loved me thru all of my past struggles and I know you’ll support me now. 🖤
My mind wants to run…. But my heart and soul WOULD NEVER leave Brazil without giving you the best show possible. It isn’t aligned with my values to not stick to my word. I promised you a SHOW & there will be one! There is so much to celebrate and be excited about…

Miley Cyrus was heading to the Asunciónico Festival in Asunción, Paraguay, yesterday. However, she didn’t make it there. That is because a sudden storm came in and hit the plane like a wrecking ball.

Miley Cyrus was hosting the New Year’s Eve party on NBC, and she almost did a Janet Jackson. As in, the strap on the singer’s top broke, and it almost showed off her boobies.
However, Cyrus handled like a champ. She held the top with one hand and the mic in the other as she continued to sing Party in the USA. Then after a few notes, she started to walk backstage. That is when she took off her top and borrowed a man’s red jacket. She put it on and went on with the song while making fun of what just happened.
Say what you want about her, but you cannot deny she is a pro. But then again, she has been in the public eye since she was a toddler. She has learned a thing or two in all of those years.
