I remember hearing recently that Eddie Murphy said that he started voicing Donkey for Shrek 5. Today, DreamWorks Animation confirmed it is reality and not just a fairytale. They wrote, “Not too Far, Far Away…@Shrek 5 is coming to theaters on July 1, 2026 with Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, and Cameron Diaz.”
Am I the only one who didn’t know there was a Shrek 3 and Shrek 4? So, it makes you wonder do we really need another sequel.
Netflix released the trailer for the star-studded Amsterdam. And it truly is star-studded. The film stars Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, John David Washington, Chris Rock, Anya Taylor-Joy, Zoe Saldaña, Mike Myers, Michael Shannon, Timothy Olyphant, Andrea Riseborough, Taylor Swift, Matthias Schoenaerts, Alessandro Nivola, Rami Malek, and Robert De Niro.
Are those names enough to make you see the film in November?
On May 5th, Mike Myers is back doing what he does best, and that is playing several different roles in one series. Since it has been a long time since he did that, he is going to be making up for lost time in The Pentaverate. The actor will play not one, not two, not three, not four, not five, not six, not seven, but eight new characters in the Netflix comedy.
They are:
Ken Scarborough: An old-school Canadian news journalist who sets out to expose the Pentaverate and win his job back
Anthony Lansdowne: A New England conspiracy theorist, determined to expose the Pentaverate
Rex Smith: A far-right radio host and highly prominent conspiracy theorist
Lord Lordington: The Pentaverate’s oldest and highest-ranking member.
Bruce Baldwin: Former media mogul
Mishu Ivanov: Ex-Russian oligarch
Shep Gordon: Former Rock-N-Roll manager
Jason Eccleston: A tech genius who invented the Pentaverate’s supercomputer, MENTOR
Since it is not a one-man show, he will be joined by Rob Lowe, Jennifer Saunders, Ken Jeong, Keegan Michael-Key, and Debi Mazar throughout the six 30-minute episodes.
It might not be the fourth installment of Austin Powers, but it is a much-needed hold-over until then.
Yeah, baby. We got our baby back, baby back, baby back ribs. Sorry, I had to do it.
Mike Myers is back doing what he does best, making silly movies. On May 5th, he will be releasing The Pentaverate on Netflix, and it is going to change the world as we know it.
That is because the movie is about a secret society that has been influencing world events since 1347. Therefore, that means that Myers has been responsible for everything bad that has happened since then because he is exposing this secret society that he is, most likely, a member of.
Therefore, the next time something awful happens, blame Mike Myers. After all, this is not the first time he has done something horrible to the world. Did you see The Love Guru?
Before Mike Myers was Austin Powers, an International Man of Mystery, he delivered a package to the biggest Internation star in John and Yoko: A Love Story. He looks the same now as he did when he was 21 in that 1985 telemovie.
