Before James Corden hosted The Late Late Show, he was BBC’s Good Morning with Anne and Nick’s Young Good Morning Showbiz Reporter. He looks exactly the same now as he did when he was 16 in that 1995 interview.
BTW don’t you think Meat Loaf and him kind of look father and son?
And when is Corden going to have Meat on his show so they can sing Bat out of Hell and Paradise in the Dashboard Light during Carpool Karaoke? How perfect would that be? I would ride on the floor of the backseat to hear that!
Meat Loaf was performing in Edmonton yesterday when he suddenly collapsed on the stage. Being the performer that he is, he kept on singing I’d Do Anything for Love (But I Won’t Do That) until he couldn’t anymore. The band, the crew and a paramedic rushed to his aid until an ambulance arrived to take him to the hospital next door where he is recuperating.
According to up! 99.3 his spokesperson says that the singer is “in stable and good condition.”
The 68 year old singer cancelled a show in Calgary on June 13th for an undisclosed illness.
Hopefully he will be better soon and more people can experience one of the most powerful performers to ever grace the stage. Out of all of the concerts I have ever been to in my whole life, his concert still remains in my Top 3. He truly gives it his all and with the power of his voice that is something you can never forget. It stays with you for the rest of your life.
UPDATE: Here is the full statement on Meat Loaf’s condition: Meat Loaf collapsed Thursday night due to severe dehydration near the end of his concert at the Northern Jubilee Auditorium in Edmonton, Alberta Canada.
He was admitted to a nearby hospital to undergo routine tests. His vital signs are stable and normal — he’s responsive and recovering well.
He extends his heartfelt thanks for everyone’s support and well wishes, and is expecting a speedy and full recovery.
Any concert postponements / rescheduled dates will be announced at a later time.
Thank you for your support and understanding.
Can you believe it has been 40 years since The Rocky Horror Picture Show came out? Well it has been and 6 of the cast members from the movie got together to do an interview with Today. They are Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon, Barry Bostwick, Meat Loaf and Patricia Quinn.
Sadly, Today f*cked it up by editing their reunion as a package instead of doing a live Q&A with them. Even though we didn’t hear much from the legends, we did learn how Curry came up with the character he created for Dr. Frank-N-Furter and Sarandon talked about getting pneumonia while filming the movie.
Sadly, we didn’t hear enough from the actors, but it was great to see them all together again. What was even better was seeing how great Tim Curry is looking after his stroke. Can I tell you, I read that he lives in my little town. It is going to take all of my will power not to kidnap my niece and go trick or treating in my neighborhood to find out where he lives. Shhh, don’t tell. I just have been a fan of his ever since I saw him in Annie and then I had a new appreciation for him when I saw him Rocky Horror. He is just so gosh darn sexy in whatever he does.
If you are like me and absolutely love the way that Meat Loaf sings Jim Steinman’s beautiful intense words, then you will be excited to know that they are working like Bats out of Hell on a new album. Larry King asked Marvin Aday on his OraTV show if there was a rocky relationship between him and the brilliant lyricist and the singer denied it. In fact he let it slip that they are making sweet music together again.
I guess you can say that one of my Rock´N´Roll Dreams Come Through because I have been waiting for this collaboration to happen again for so long. So they better be going nowhere fast to release this future classic album.
Here’s a little secret about me, I would love to have a three-way with Meat and Steinman because their songs are some of my favorites and have gotten me through so much. Ever since I was a kid, I wanted Making Love (Out of Nothing at All) as the first song played at my wedding. I know Air Supply sang it, but Steinman wrote it and is the perfect song for a bride and groom. Right?
Miley Cyrus released the second music video from her upcoming album Bangerz that’s out on October 8th, and Wrecking Ball lives up to its name. The 20 year old made out with a sledgehammer and sat completely naked on a rusted wrecking ball. Instead of concentrating on the music video, all I could think of is what she going to get by exposing her body to all of that dirty metal. Seriously I hope they sanitized everything before she put her vajayjay and her tongue on those things. So gross.
Now when it comes to the music video itself that was directed by still photographer Terry Richardson, I think he needs to stick with his day job. He’s not as good with motion photography.
When it comes to the song, dare I say that I actually liked it? It just needed a stronger video to go with it like Meat Loaf’s Modern Girl.
What do you think of Wrecking Ball?
