Grace and Frankie
January 19th, 2018 under Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Netflix, Peter Gallagher. [ Comments: none ]

Grace and Frankie is back for its fourth season on Netflix now for you to stream all 13 episodes and this might be the best season yet. There is love, new life, death, family and most importantly laughs!

The season starts off with Frankie (Lily Tomlin) still living in Santa Fe with Jacob (Ernie Hudson), but she needs to fly back to LA to go to Bud (Baron Vaughn) and Allison’s (Lindsey Kraft) baby reveal party.

When she gets to the house, she shared with Grace (Jane Fonda), her former roommate found a new one to live with her. Sheree (Lisa Kudrow), Grace’s manicurist, is the complete opposite of Frankie, so of course she hates her. Frankie will do everything in her power to get rid of Grace’s new BFF, but that is proving harder than she thought. Until they find something to bond over.

Talking about bonding, Robert (Martin Sheen) and Sol (Sam Waterston) are not. Their marriage is in trouble as Robert gets more involved with the plays he is doing. Sol wants to protest more, but his husband is too busy to do it. Things are so bad between them, they decide to go to a therapist who tells them to see other people. Will they do it?

This season, Frankie is healthier, but Grace is not. Her knee is giving her problems and it is becoming harder for her to get around. Because of that it makes her feel old. So old, she thinks that she needs to break up with her boy toy Nick (Peter Gallagher) because of it. When he refuses, she decides to show him her real face to see if he still wants her. In a revealing scene, she takes off all of her makeup and we get to see what a bare faces Fonda looks like. Will he stay with her?

With all of that they still have time to sell their vibrators, deliver a baby, commit a few crimes, break up with their lovees and still be there for each other when they really need it. And they are going to need it. Especially since one of them is dead.

The whole season comes together with an ending that sets up for the fifth season they better get. This show might have an older cast, and people of all ages can enjoy. I have been watching a lot of Golden Globe winners and they have all been disappointing me. Then I watched all 13 episodes of this season and I was reminded that television can be great. It can also leave you feeling happy. The chemistry of this cast grabs hold of you and never lets you go. That is why before you know it, you have binged all 13 episodes and you cannot wait for the next season to premiere. Which they better be filming as you read this.

Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda & Taylor Schilling piss off James Corden!
May 4th, 2017 under James Corden, Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin. [ Comments: none ]

James Corden was so excited to try a new bit with Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda & Taylor Schilling on The Late Late Show that he created a song and dance number for it. Only problem is when he gave the Netflix actresses a choice whether to choose the Mystery Door or continue the interview, they picked the latter. The CBS host was so upset, you could see he was about to cry. It didn’t help that Fonda was such a bitch to him. Which I really liked. She should be bitchy more often because I like it, I really like it.

Does this Grace and Frankie billboard make you want to stop and stare?
March 30th, 2017 under Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Netflix. [ Comments: none ]

Last season of Grace and Frankie dealt with Lily Tomlin trying to sell her organic lube for older women. This season the Netflix show is about Jane Fonda and Tomlin trying to find a partner for their vibrators and condoms made for the experienced woman. Therefore, it makes sense that the streaming service would highlight this in their advertising.

There is a Billboard in Hollywood with the two legendary actresses holding vibrators and The Hollywood Reporter says that people are stopping their cars to stare at it. Why, I don’t know. I wouldn’t have known they were holding vibrators if I didn’t binge the whole third season on Sunday. Would you have known? Do you think the ad is that risque?

Now when it comes to Grace and Frankie, if you haven’t seen it, then you need to binge it ASAP! Total fun for people of all ages! And if Netflix reads this, I want samples from this season!!!

Did you know you can’t say vibrator on The View?
March 27th, 2017 under Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Netflix, Sex Toys, The View. [ Comments: none ]

Today on The View, the show welcomed Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin on to talk about their Netflix show Grace and Frankie. The season the two women are getting into the vibrator business and that put the ABC talk show into a conundrum. The V word is one of the words you cannot say on their program.

Yes, Vibrator is a dirty word. Who knew? Maybe if more Republicans could say it, they would not be so eager to cut off women’s health. They have no problem saying Viagra and that is still funded by them and allowed to be said on daytime televion. Especially, since I am assuming almost almost all of them need it.

But this is not a political post, per se. Therefore, I just have one thing to say, “Vibrator, vibrator, vibrator!!!”

When it comes to Grace and Frankie, if Netflix was smart, they would totally sell that vibrator and those condoms. I don’t know about you, but after binge watching the show yesterday, I want both! Especially the vibrator! They made it sound like it really gets the job done.

If you have not seen Grace and Frankie, then spend your time binge watching it. The acting and the writing on this show is phenomenal. It is also proves that older actors are better than most of the younger ones because they do stuff that those whipper snappers cannot. How did Martin Sheen and Sam Waterston not get nominated for their roles as Fonda and Tomlin’s ex-husband’s who left them to become not Mr & Mr? Plus, Fonda and Tomlin also deserve nominations. In other words, I really love Grace and Frankie.

Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin have fallen and they can’t get up!
March 2nd, 2017 under Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Netflix. [ Comments: none ]

Back in 1980, we fell in love with the pairing on Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda, then 35 years later we fell in love with them together again in Grace and Frankie.

On March 24th, the two ladies are back to work on the third season of their Netflix show and I am so excited for it. Not as excited as if I got one of their vibrators, but pretty close. They remind us that women of all ages can be hysterical and talk about anything and everything…and I do mean everything. Plus, they get themselves into hilarious situations that women younger than them can’t even foresee.

It is like our generation’s The Golden Girls. Although Golden Girls is for all generations, but you got where I was going with that thought.

The only thing that would make the third season more charming is if they had Dolly Parton join in on the fun with them. Could you imagine? I would be even more excited than if I just finished using one of their vibrators!
