Tonight on Lifetime at 8p The Pregnancy Project debuts and any parent of a teen and the teens themselves need to watch this movie that is based on a true story. Gaby Rodriguez (Alexa Vega) is the daughter of a teen mom. her siblings all had kids as teens and everyone expects her to do the same. When she has no clue what to do for her senior project, she decides to fake a pregnancy to see how people will react to her being pregnant. She keeps the news from everyone, but one teacher, the principal, her mom and her boyfriend. The bigger she gets the more she sees that people discriminate against her and treat her differently. She is shocked by some of the people who have turned against her because of it. Also the longer she goes on the charade, the more she hates her big belly. Her mother will remind her at least she can take it off unlike other teen moms.
Now the day is getting closer for her to tell everyone that she faked her pregnancy and why, and she is afraid how they will react to the news. How will they react and how will change them and her? You have tune in for this movie that should be screened in high schools because it is just that important.
Drop Dead Diva has done plenty of stunt cast throughout it first three seasons, and up until now I have accepted the likes of Kathy Griffin, Brandy Norwood, LeAnn Rimes and Rosie O’Donnell appearing on the show. But today they announced that Kim Kardashian will be appearing on a few of this upcoming episodes and now the show is now dead to me. The show became even deader to me than Deb is when I read what she will be doing on the show. This how the press release described her role, “Kardashian will play Nikki, Fred’s (Ben Feldman) new love interest who partners with his ex Stacy (April Bowlby) in a new business venture.” Why why why? What did Fred do to deserve this? He is so much better than her.
I guess DDD’s creator Josh Berman thinks he is like Guardian Angel Fred because here is what he said about the casting, “This series is all about reinvention and I’m so excited to see Kim ‘reinvented’ in the world of Drop Dead Diva.†And I am reinventing what I watch on Lifetime.
And on that note, Lifetime can you have shows have a get together and stick Abby Lee Miller on Berman for dancing with Kim Kardashian? Please, please, please.
BTW I opted to use the video of Snoop Dogg talking about the ex-Mrs Kris Humphries because I am so sick of seeing her all over the place.
Almost 6 million people tuned into Lifetime to watch Rob Lowe and Kaley Cuoco play Drew and Stacy Peterson in Untouchable this weekend; and if you are one of the people who missed it, Vulture made a 90 second video of the best moments from the movie. Not the Emmy worthy moments, but the scenes that will make want to watch the movie with a bottle of wine or two. How many drinking games did you come up with just from watching that short little video?
We have all seen the news of coverage of Stacy Peterson who went missing and her husband Drew denying he had anything to do with. Well tonight at 8p on Lifetime in Drew Peterson: Untouchable we find out what happened before we knew their names. We see how the two met, how much in love they once were and what went wrong. By the end of the movie you will know more about what went on behind the headlines and you will feel for the family that to this day don’t know what happened to their sister, mom and friend.
Rob Lowe is scary as the man who had one wife die under mysterious circumstances and another wife who went missing and has never been seen or heard from again. Kaley Cuoco looks so much like Stacy Peterson, you will think that she might have been The Big Bang Theory star’s doppelganger. The acting is so real, you will think you are watching the news more than a movie of the week.
Dance Moms is back for a second season on Lifetime at 9p and you will feel even more guilty watching this pleasure. Abby Lee Miller is ready to get her national champions back into the smaller competitions and she is tougher on the girls than she was last season. Even though they won the title and shot a music video she still feels that they need to do a lot of work and are never good enough for her standrds. At one point she says that Chloe has let being the lead in the video go to her head, but I think that the show has gone to the dance teacher’s head. You know I think that Miller’s ego is the size of her waistline and we all know that she don’t have a small one. In fact my favorite line tonight is when one of the moms says if she was going to get Miller a present it would be a three-month membership to Weight Watchers. Me and Ow! Can you guess which Dance Mom said that?
Miller is not only yelling at the girls she is yelling at the moms too. She scolds one mother for not attending rehearsals because she is opting to work instead. Miller tells the cameras that that mother doesn’t care about her kid because it should all be about the dancing. When that mom finally shows up, Miller disses that girl to her. Who does that?
Shortly after the show starts Miller announces that she is looking for another girl to join the group to replace Vivi-Anne and that might not be the only replacement in the dance group. Will all the girls that we go to know, love and feel sorry for be back for season two or will some of them be gone?
Tune in to find out on the show that people are embarrassed to watch, but just can’t get enough of. If you have never (honestly) seen the show, tonight is the perfect time to start. I promise you will be as addicted to it as I am, even if you won’t let anyone including me know that you are.
Then at 10p 24 Hour Catwalk makes it debut on Lifetime and it is like the whole season of Project Runway in just one day and one episode. Four contestants are all given an everyday garment that they have to transform into fashion in a short time and then the judges will eliminate the bottom the two. The two that get to move one will have just 24 Hours to create a fashion line to walk the Catwalk and after the fashion show is done there will only be one. Then next week we get to start it all over again.
If you think that Project Runway has gotten tired, this show will wake you up.
