Josh Groban might have a heavenly voice, but he has devilish side to him too.
Today when he was on The Meredith Vieira Show and she asked him who his celebrity crush is. At first he told the new daytime talk show host, she was the one. Then he admitted it is Julie Andrews who makes his hill come alive. There was something about seeing her dressed as a nun in The Sound of Music that von Trapped him. Then he declared, “I want a naughty nun, that’s what I want. I want to find her dark side I feel like we can frolic on the hilltop. I’ll bring wine.”
So ladies if you want to make him scream Do-Re-Mi, then run to your nearest Halloween store and pick up the Slutty Nun costume. This way you have it ready for him the next time you see the singer in person. If you do that, then you will be one of his favorite things!
Josh Groban was on Conan O’Brien’s show yesterday and the TBS late night host wanted some advice about singing. You see, he is going to be singing the Monorail Song, from a The Simpsons episode he worked on, at the Hollywood Bowl, and he’s never performed at a place like that before. Who better to help him out than the Grammy winning singer? What was the host of Rising Star’s advice for him? The tenor told him he needs to sing from the balls. Who knew men had a voice down there? I thought only their brains were located there.
I digress. After the lesson was over, Conan told him should come out to see that performance. Groban said he would be there, “trying to run his hand up his pant leg, no doubt.” The red responded with, “Only, I will not try to stop you.” Would you?
What Groban was referencing is from an earlier part of the interview. To hear that story, then click here!
Yesterday on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Rising Star‘s host Josh Groban and experts Ludacris, Brad Paisley and Kesha were on the ABC late night show to talk about their singing competition that debuts on Sunday night. Since the eliminations are live, there has been some confusion how it will all work. So they explained it on the show and Kesha might’ve gotten them in trouble. As she was describing that the audience’s Selfies will appear on the wall, she said that they could take interesting photos. Kimmel made the mistake of asking her what she meant. She responded by saying, “I just, I can’t wait to see a d!ck pic on that wall!” She is not alone because I wouldn’t mind that all. The ABC censors might, but not me. In fact I am going to use a picture of my pussy as a Selfie when I vote on the show. And before your stars get rising, I am referring to my cat!
Seriously, seeing how the three experts and the host interacted with each other on JKL makes me want to watch Rising Star even more. How excited are you for this show?
ABC has been teasing us with their new singing competition, Rising Star, and today they finally released a trailer explaining what it is all about. Starting on June 22nd, we are the judge. We vote who stays and who goes. While that has been done before, numerous times, it is different on this show. You don’t have to wait a week. You don’t even have to wait a day. You will find out during that episode, who is moving on and who is moving on out of the competition. That’s because the show is live and you vote as soon as they are done singing.
I think this show has the potential to be the next American Idol or Dancing with the Stars. A show that debuts in the summer, becomes a big hit and then it airs in the fall and spring.
I know I am going to watch, are you going to watch the show hosted by Josh Groban and judged by YOU, Kesha, Ludacris and Brad Paisley, when it debuts later this month?
Last month Josh Groban and Brad Paisley appeared on the cancelled-to-soon-sitcom The Crazy Ones and next month they will reunite on ABC’s reality show Rising Star. Unlike on the TCO where Groban was a contestant on a singing competition that Paisley was judging on, Josh is hosting this one. But just like TCO, Brad is judging the one that debuts on June 22nd. Funny how a TV show becomes a reality…show.
The Country singer will not be alone at the judges’ table, he will be joined by Kesha and Ludacris. And with those names, they already have better panelists than American Idol. And since I am big fan of Groban’s humor, I will say they also have a better host. Sorry, Ryan Seacrest.
So what is Rising Star? Here’s the description from an ABC press release:
ABC’s new reality series “Rising Star” completely reinvents the traditional singing competition as–for the first time ever–the audience has the final say in real time. The show follows a group of aspiring singers as they audition in live performances. During the performances, viewers vote via an App in real time to determine if the singer will advance in the competition. If the voting reaches a certain threshold, the performer moves on, and the performer can see how the voting is going during the performance, so the feedback is immediate and dramatic.
That should be interesting. That is if us West Coasters don’t get screwed in the deal!
