By the mid-’80s, John Stamos was a household name. Therefore, he thought that Full House was his show and he was going to be the star.
However, he told Willie Geist on Sunday Today that after the first table read. He quit.
That is because he realized the kids, Candace Cameron, Jodie Sweetin, and Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, were the stars, and he was not. So he called his agent and told him to get him off the show.
As we know, that did not happen. He stayed with the series throughout its run. And now he will forever be known as Uncle Jesse.
In fact, he hated that at first. While starring in a Broadway show with James Earl Jones, he learned to accept it. But only after coming out of the backstage door to screaming fans. And fans yelling his character’s name. At first, he was pissed. And then he heard someone say to Jones, “Can you say, ‘Luke, I’m your father.” If someone like the legendary actor can put up with it, so can he.
To be honest. After hearing almost all of the revelations from his memoir, I have lost a lot of respect for him. He just comes off as an entitled asshole. And that turned me off to him.
But it isn’t all bad. He also shared a sweet lesson that he learned from his last dinner with Bob Saget. You never know when you are going to have your last meal with someone, so stop and have dessert with that person. Enjoy the time you have with them, and stop being in such a rush.
John Stamos turned the big 6-0 on August 19th, but you would never know it by looking at him. The actor shared a photo of himself taking a shower, and he looks better today than he did when he was a teenager playing Blackie on General Hospital.
Seriously, doesn’t he get better with age? We thought that Uncle Jessie was hot. But John Stamos is damn fine!
John Stamos and Rob Lowe were teen idols at the same time in the ’80s. And both actors are ageless, with dark hair and light eyes. So I get why some people would confuse the two if they saw one of them in person.
For example, Uncle Jesse was recently mistaken for Sodapop. So did he reveal who he truly is? No, because the guy was “close enough.”

Well, John Stamos decided to try it out. How did he look? As we suspected, the same because he never ages.
However, when I tried it, I cried. Then I went into the bathroom and put on every face cream I own every four hours. Take that Aged filter; I am not going to look like you said I am going to look like.
John Stamos was seen delivering a pizza to Richard Marx’s house, so has the actor hit hard times?
Not as of yet. But depending on how long the Writers’ Strike goes on, he and many others in Hollywood will be. So let’s hope the studios and the Writers Guild of America come to a resolution quickly.
That, and Marx remembers to tip his delivery people. Otherwise, it will be a hazard to him. Plus, he doesn’t want to mess with Uncle Jessie because he might get the singer fired like he did the Olsen twins and their replacements on Full House.
