For months we have been hearing about how Jimmy Fallon is set to replace Jay Leno on The Tonight Show when the latter’s contract is up next year. Well tonight of all nights, the Late Night host and The Tonight Show one addressed the rumors during his show at 12:37a on NBC in a way only Fallon can.
You know what I am beginning to think that neither Leno nor Fallon will be leaving their shows next year and that this is all just a ploy to boost both show’s ratings. And you know what it is working because they were up last week. I sincerely don’t think that Leno will be going anywhere when his contract up. Seriously Leno is #1 and what else besides The Voice can NBC say that about? Why would you get rid of something that actually is doing well on your network when everything else you have is doing so badly? Does that make sense? What do I know I am just a viewer, I didn’t run a network into the ground.
Yesterday on Late Night Jimmy Fallon had himself, Blake Shelton, Nick Offerman and some other dude dress up as chickens and cluck The Lumineers Ho Hey. You know what to me it strangely works, but that could be because I understand their lyrics more than I do the original ones. That and Blake Shelton can really bawk like no one’s business! As you can hear all the chicks in the audience were going buck wild for him! Hay, even I wanted to lay my eggs after I heard that!
Black Simon & Garfunkle were on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon again yesterday and this time they sang Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ Thrift Shop. There is nothing greater than listening the two whitest black guys harmonizing “Damn that’s a cold a$$ honky.” What could be better than that?
Drew Barrymore was on Late Night yesterday and Jimmy Fallon challenged her to a game of Rougelette. Basically they had 9 boxes, 6 with nothing in them and 3 with a piece of Drew’s makeup inside. If the person picked a box with the makeup, then the other one draws on that person’s face. Let’s just say by the end of it they both did not just look pretty, they looked pretty funny.
Justin Timberlake spent the week on Late Night and to celebrate day 5 of his stay Jimmy Fallon and him did The History of Rap 4. I don’t know if it is because they spent so much time together, but I think this is the best one yet!
BTW am I the only who wanted Justin Timberlake to pick up his pants because I couldn’t stop looking at his crotch!
