Long before Julianne Moore and John Stamos were the actors they are today, they were on Soap Operas in the ’80s. James Corden wanted to see if they still had those acting chops within them, so he had them do a Daytime Drama scene. Instead of the words coming from the writers of The Late Late Show, they came from Taylor Swift and the ones that works for her. So watch at the three of them turn Swift’s words into the cheesy dialogue they should be delivered as.
Seriously, I can’t shake it off how brilliantly it worked.
Matt Damon was on The Late Late Show yesterday and James Corden recreated several scenes from most of Jason Bourne’s movies with him. I didn’t realize until now, not only how many bad movies he has done, but how many of them I have not and will not see. In fact, it seems like he is trying to forget them too because he barely did any lines from them. I guess he doesn’t have catchphrases like the other actors who did this segment with the CBS late night host. What’s up with that?
Joe Theismann is such a great Quarterback, each year a college football player is given a trophy that is named after him. Well, James Corden wanted to test out just how strong his arm is, so he challenged him in a way he has never been challenged before on The Late Late Show. The CBS host hired a stunt driver from Fast & the Furious to drive him around and around a fast food restaurant as Theismann threw food at him through an open window. The legendary player threw it in to the end zone every time, leaving Corden a huge mess. How did Corden do when the roles were reversed? Let’s just say, it is good he has a night job!
Since I am such a sadist, I laughed a lot during this bit. Who doesn’t love to see someone get smacked in the face with a milkshake, hamburger and fries at high speeds.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CgPxtLnJozc Two weeks ago, James Corden got to be part of the touring production of Phantom of the Opera and he thought he would be the lead. He was wrong, he was just a bit player in the background. Well, he found a way to make it so he is the Phantom. How? Doing a street version of the musical. That’s right, he took it to the streets of the Fairfax District and entertained people in their cars as they were stopped at a red light. Had he done that on Broadway, he would’ve been dead by the first note because NYers don’t do well when someone causes them even more traffic than they already deal with. Luckily for him LAers are much nicer and let him perform until the light turned green.
Now that he has done Grease and Phantom on the street, maybe next time he will do 42nd Street? Seems logical, right?
James Corden introduced a new segment to The Late Late Show yesterday called Studio 56 Bar Tricks. What is that? Basically it is stupid human tricks.
The first guy to show off his talent was Jonathan Burns from Lancaster, Pa. His specialty is taking off his underwear without removing his pants. It is something you have to see to believe. Something that only someone who has gotten their share of wedgies can figure out how to do. Because anyone who hasn’t gotten them wouldn’t dare try that.
Do you think you could do that?
BTW I am warning you now, stop with Burns because the remaining contestants will burn an image in your mind you can’t remove. Even with your underwear over your eyes.
