Stevie Wonder was James Corden’s latest passenger on Carpool Karoake, and the Motown legend helped to get The Late Late Show host laid. As they were driving around Los Angeles, the CBS host asked the singer to call his wife because she didn’t believe her husband was driving one of her favorite singers around. Corden dialed the number and after his wife picked up, Wonder sang James just called to say he loves you. Even though you couldn’t see Mrs Corden, you can tell she was swooning. So much so, you can hear her getting rid of the kids for the night, so the hubby and her can have a romantic evening together. Can’t say I blame her, if my lover did that, I would do whatever he wanted. Wouldn’t you?
What I also adored about this segment, is how warm and funny Wonder comes off in it.
The Late Late Show‘s James Corden might have a Tony and starred in the big screen version of Into the Woods, but there is one role he has always wanted to play. That role is The Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera. He thought, he was finally getting that opportunity with the touring show, but he was in for a rude awakening. He was not the man to be singing The Music of the Night, but instead he was the playing the Barber. He wouldn’t stop harping about the demotion.

The Elephant Man says he likes to stomp around on the dance floor, so the CBS late night host asked him to bust a move. After some coaxing, he got up and showed us the popping and locking he did to win the girls over at the Bar Mitzvahs he went to when he was teen. You know what, he would’ve won me over just as much as then as he does now. His sexiness is limitless.
Now when it comes to Corden, he screeched higher than a teenage girl after she saw Cooper dancing at her Bat Mitzvah. What was up with the high octave squeal?
Matt LeBlanc was on The Late Late Show the other day and James Corden heard that the Friend never flinches. Of course, the CBS late night host wanted to see if that was true, so he decided to test it out by hurling things at LeBlanc as he stood behind a glass barrier. The last thing that was thrown at him were paint balls and believe it or not he didn’t flinch once. In fact, he kept a smile on his face as we watched the balls of paint come dangerously close to him. I don’t know how he did it, do you?
