Dame Helen Mirren was on The Late Late Show yesterday and she challenged James Corden to Drop the Mic. You might think she is all prim and proper because she has played a queen 6 times, but she can rap even better than Enimem. Who knew? What I know now is that I am afraid of her because she can cut even the fiercest competitor down to size. And I ain’t that fierce.
Graham Norton wanted to know where is some of the strangest places Will Smith, Martin Freeman and Helen Mirren get recognized, and the Dame had the best answer. Of course. She explained, “You’re stuck. Then there are other people in the cue, word goes out and then you are having a conversation whole cue of people all the time slowly moving towards the cabin that is empty. Knowing everyone is going to be listening. It is mortifying.”
Then Martin Freeman, explained how he was recognized when he was younger in the bathroom, two men wanted to know if he was big down there.
In other words, leave celebs alone when they are in the loo. Although men, it is OK to look and tell me!
Back when Edward Norton was a teen, he told Conan O’Brien on his TBS late night show that he had his first erotic experience while watching Helen Mirren in HBO’s Excalibur. Then when he was 26, he wound up staying at a guest house on her property and she invited him over for some tea. He thought she wanted him to be her sugar for the day, but he was wrong. Dame Helen Mirren was on The Late Show yesterday. As soon as she walked out, she gave Stephen Colbert such a kiss on the lips that rendered him weak in the knees.
After they sat back down, she told him that she has been dreaming of doing that for 15 years and that his lips are soft. The CBS late night host happily responded with, “You know what you are doing. You really know what you are doing. Thank you so much for being here.”
He then declared that so many people will be jealous of him when they see this and she said, “Including me when I watch it.” Then she explained why when she said, “Oh, why didn’t I do more?” He had no choice to tell her the night was still young. And it was because at the end of the interview, they shared a kiss so tender that many of us will dream about getting one just like it tonight.
