Is Michelle Lee telling George Clooney she regrets turning down his offer to date a younger man?
October 20th, 2025 under George Clooney. [ Comments: none ]

Michelle Lee recently sat down with Steve Kmetko for his podcast Still Here Hollywood Podcast with Steve Kmetko, and she told him this unbelievable story about George Clooney.

Back in 2002, she and the actor were on the same flight to New York City. Before they got on the plane, she noticed him in the longue and decided to talk to him about the first movie he directed, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, which she had just seen.

She was very complimentary about it, so he decided to continue their conversation on the place when he asked her to sit next to him for the six-hour flight.

The two of the them continued to talk, but then she had to go to the bathroom. When she stood up, he asked her if she would ever a date a younger man. You see the two of them are 19 years apart, so he is definitely a lot younger than her.

Back in the early 2000s, women, including me, would have done anything to date him and join the Mile High Club right then and there. However, she was given the chance to do it, and she said no.

Can you believe it? Even as they parted ways at the airport with a hug, she was still declining the offer of a lifetime.

After she was done telling her story, Kmetko asked her if she has seen him since that fateful trip. She alluded to the fact that she hasn’t. However, he did not follow up by asking if she regrets her decision now that it is almost 25 years later.

That interview was a few weeks ago, and it looks like we got the answer to both. Over the weekend, the Knots Landing star went to a screening of his film, Jay Kelly, and they were able to have a moment that was captured on camera.

By the looks of their faces, I think we can all come to the agreement that she is telling him she regrets her decision not to take him up on his offer.

If only we could turn back time, then she would have a plane to remember and maybe Up in the Air could have been about them. Yeah, I only the saw that movie once and fell asleep due to boredom.

Before George Clooney was a doctor on ER, he was a medical tech on another E/R. How cute was the 21-year-old in that 1984 episode?

Good Night, and Good Luck will air live on CNN
May 15th, 2025 under George Clooney. [ Comments: none ]

George Clooney is starring in the Broadway version of Good Night, and Good Luck. We will be able to watch him in his Tony-nominated performance live on CNN.

Mr. Clooney commented, “I can’t tell you how exciting it is to do something that’s never been done. CNN is the perfect place to bring this story of courage to so many more people than we could have ever hoped. Live TV. No net. Buckle up everyone.”

The play is a slice-of-life story about legendary newsman Edward R. Murrow and his news program, See It Now. They covered the McCarthy hearings in Congress, exposing the lies they were telling the American public. By doing so, McCarthy came for them.

Clooney played Fred W. Friendly in the 2005 theatrical version. However, on the Great White Way, he is playing Murrow.

Twenty years ago, when the film was released, it was just a historical production. Today, it feels like history is repeating itself.

I know this because I watched the film a few weeks ago. Personally, I found it boring and Clooney underwhelming. However, that is because I dislike him (and what the European resident did to the 2024 US election) and think he has become a pompous shit. Having said, I will be watching.

Believe it or not, I did not. But this is the first time that a Broadway play will air live from the stage. So, I am curious to see how it will go. And I hope it becomes something that happens more often.

While this is a first for CNN, it is not a first for Clooney. In 2009, he starred in a live production of Fail Safe on CBS.

Good Night and Good Luck will air live June 7th at 7p across all of CNN Platforms.

April 4th, 2025 under George Clooney. [ Comments: none ]

George Clooney is starring in Good Night and Good Luck on Broadway, and yesterday was opening night of the play.

Since it was a big deal, some of his old friends came out to see him. Who were they? His ER co-stars: Noah Wyle, Anthony Edwards, and Julianna Margulies, who have known him for 30 years.

It is nice to see them all together again. It is as if no time has passed since their friendship began.
