If someone said to you, “I’d like to buy a vowel,” then you knew they were talking about Wheel of Fortune. Right?
Jeopardy wanted to see if the contestants knew five other Classic Game Show Phrases, so they asked them. And they knew them all. I even knew them all. That is how easy the category was.
The one time I didn’t lose on Jeopardy, baby, was when they asked about other game shows. Isn’t that ironic?

The Daytime Emmys used to air on broadcast television every year. However, when the ratings dropped, and it was eventually moved to online after airing on The CW and cable networks.
This year has been crazy because of the coronavirus pandemic, and it is benefiting from that fact. Come June 26th, the awards show, that highlights soap operas, game shows, kids shows, and talk shows, will be airing on CBS.
Since COVID-19 is still prominent in Los Angeles, everyone will be participating from home. That should be very interesting. The celebrities did not have to dress up for the Kids Choice Awards on Nickelodeon, but daytime television is a much different beast. They are used to being dressed to the nines when they are in front of the cameras. Therefore, it will be interesting to see how they dress up for the big night in their living rooms.
It will also be interesting to see what happens when The Talk wins. How will the hosts handle who gives their speech when, and will they talk over each other? That alone is enough reason for me to watch.
Yet, that is not why I will tuning in. I will be doing so to support this genre. Since a lot of us will be stuck at home on that day, why not watch. What else is there to see?
Nominations will be announced tomorrow on The Talk. I expect The Bold and The Beautiful to get nominated. That will give them two consecutive days of good news because they were picked up until 2022.
Eve Dubois and her family played Family Feud in Canada, and she thought she had the winning answer in the Sudden Death round. Gerry Dee asked the two contestants, “What is Popeye’s favorite food?” Dubios proudly buzzed in and screamed, “Chicken!” Not only that, she did a little dance.
As us old people know, the answer is spinach. However, Popeyes the fried chicken restaurant agreed with her. Therefore, they tweeted her, “@sublimevey! Our survey says you got that right. DM us to claim your $10,000 worth of Popeyes. #LoveThatChickenFromPopeyes” We don’t know if she took them up on their offer, but she did tweet back, “THANK YOU #CHICKEEEN”
I would rather have the chicken! Although, I was not as wowed by their chicken sandwich like everyone else is.
BTW this was not their first attempt to get the winning answer. They tried three other times and failed. To sere those hilarious failed attempts, then click here!

Did you know that Who Wants to be a Millionaire is still taping new episodes? Well, not anymore because Variety says that the show is out of lifelines. No word, if the producers when they heard the news, they asked the executives, “Is that your final answer?”
The game show debuted on ABC’s primetime schedule in 1999 with Regis Philbin as the host. When it went into syndication it was hosted by Meredith Vieira, Cedric the Entertainer, Terry Crews, and Chris Harrison.
ABC announced today that it is bringing back Card Sharks and Press Your Luck! The two popular game shows will begin filming in the spring after they find hosts for the shows.
Press Your Luck needs someone fun maybe like Ken Jeong. While Card Sharks needs someone a little more Vegassy like Donny Osmond. I know, they did that show on that other network, so that might be why they are so fresh on my mind.
Who do you think they should get to host, what I assume will be, the summer shows?
