Lucifer might be the devil, but the show that debuts on Fox at 9p tonight after The X-Files is just heavenly.
Lucifer (Tom Ellis) is bored as hell of Hell, so he decides to take a vacation in Los Angeles, which is like a Hell away from Hell. Heaven wants him back in Hell, but he doesn’t want to go. The angel Amenadiel (D. B. Woodside) and Lucifer’s confidant, Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt), will do everything in their power to get him to go back home.
Then when one of the people (AnnaLynne McCord), he did a “favor” for, is shot and killed in his arms, he vows to find her killer. Only thing, is the police are also looking for the murderer and Homicide Detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German) is the lead investigator on this case. Lucifer and Chloe’s paths keep crossing and for some reason she is not a prisoner of his charms. This intrigues him and makes them good partners as they solve crimes together each week. Who knew the Devil, was so good as solving crimes?
Actually the Devil isn’t only good at solving crimes, the show is so bloody good. Tom Ellis is so perfect at the playing the charming Lucifer, you will be under his spell before the opening credits start to roll.
Tune in for a procedural that is so devilishly bad, it is heavenly.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0XfujuzhmCs Fox has decided to move Second Chance to Fridays after two low rated airings on Wednesdays. In order to do that, Hell’s Kitchen will swap spots with it starting this Wednesday. Next Friday, MasterChef Junior will air its season finale and the week afterwards Sleepy Hollow will have some explaining to do. Like where is Abby Mills?
When it comes to the swap, I don’t know why Fox didn’t have their schedule like this in the first place. It makes sense to pair two reality shows together and also the same goes for to Sci-Fi shows. Hopefully it will work out well for all involved. Although, as much as I wanted to love Second Chance, I didn’t even give it a first chance.
Every time Fox announces who is going to star in their updated version of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, I cringe. Adam Lambert is no Meat Loaf, Victoria Justice is no Susan Sarandon and Laverne Cox is definitely no Tim Curry.
But then Fox made an announcement today that did not make my blood not boil, instead it made my blood and other body parts tingle. What you dare ask? They are doing a Time Warp of sorts and bringing back the extremely sexy Tim Curry to star as the Criminologist Narrator. Just to hear this news has my Thing singing toucha, toucha, touch me. Maybe there is hope for the musical that debuts this fall, what do you think?
In other Fox news, Empire and Scream Queens will be back for another season.

When I heard Fox was doing Grease, I got excited. Then I read that they cast Julianne Hough as Sandy, and I lost all interest. She destroys every movie she is in, which is why they all bombed and she is no longer cast as lead in them. If her acting was the only bad thing about her, I could maybe deal with her in Grease. But she can only sing Country as we learned in Rock of Ages. There is no way that she is going to be able sing Sandy’s songs. Sandy needs to be a triple threat and Hough is only a single one.
Which is probably why Fox is only showing us them doing the Handjive and we aren’t hearing them sing quite yet. Are you excited for Grease: Live on January 31st?
Jimmy (John Stamos) is used to spending Thanksgiving with a model in Malibu; but now that he has a son and granddaughter, he wants to spend it with them. Well at least part of it. That is until he meets Sara’s (Paget Brewster) ex Bruce (Andy Daly), who was like a father to Gerald (Josh Peck) until his real dad came into his life.
How will Jimmy handle meeting the man who helped raise his son? As bad as you would expect him to and you don’t want to miss it.
Tonight’s episode of Grandfathered on Fox at 8p is the first one where you really start to see a change in Jimmy. If the show continues to do endearing episodes like this one, it deserves to get a second season.

Then at 8:30p on The Grinder, it looks like Dean (Rob Lowe) is finally going to get the family Thanksgiving he so desperately wants. Only problem is his brother Stewart (Fred Savage) doesn’t like celebrating the holiday since their parents got a divorce. Well, that is not the real reason, he walked in on his mom and his dad’s business partner in a compromising position on Turkey Day and the holiday was forever ruined for him. Dean not only convinces his brother to host Thanksgiving, but to tell his dad (William Devane) what happened that night a few years ago. How will his dad react? Let’s just say his sons will never be the same.
Also on tonight’s episode we find out why Dean is no longer doing The Grinder. A reveal that keeps on giving, so you don’t want to miss it. Nor do you want to miss this episode that is full of shocking moments. The biggest one comes at the end and next week’s episode can’t come soon enough. It is that enticing.
