Tonight at 10p on NBC, Timeless one of the most anticipated shows of the fall debuts. The Sci-Fi drama ponders what would you do if you could change an iconic moment in history. They start off with the Hindenburg and next week the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. These are two events that happened a long time ago because unlike Quantum Leap they can’t travel within their lifetime. The reasoning is explained early on.
Now that you know that, let’s get to the show. There is a secret time machine that has been hidden from the Government, but now its existence will be known when Garcia Flynn (Goran Visnjic), a master criminal, steals it. He has gone back to New Jersey in 1937 to stop the Hidenburg from blowing up. the secret group has assembled three people to go back in time in the spare ship to stop him before he does his damage to time. Rufus (Malcolm Barrett) works for the company and he will pilot the ship. As an African-American he is not looking forward to the journey back in time. Master Sergeant Wyatt Logan, US Army Delta Force (Matt Lanter) is there to protect them. Then there is Lucy Preston (Abigail Spencer), who teaches history, as in she is a renowned expert is all things the past. She is there to preserve history. Which will be difficult for them when they have to decide whether or not to save someone like Abraham Lincoln.
Do you change the past knowing there will be consequences in the future? Believe me there are consequences. And that is why you will love this show. That and they really capture the look of the eras they go back to. Each week it is a new period piece.
An hour earlier but on Fox, Lucifer’s mom is back in his life and it is going to be Hell on Earth for him. His mom has jumped into Tricia Helfer’s body and that will make things very awkward for him. Which will make this quirky show about the Devil even more lovable. I want to say more, but it is sincerely something you have to enjoy for yourself because that is what Lucifer is all about!
The Simpsons are back for a 28th season tonight at 8p on Fox, but something is missing. When that missing item is replaced, it destroys the Springfield. The Mayor promises to rebuild, but he doesn’t have the money. They ask Mr Burns to give them the money, but he has a condition. Will Lisa be able to fulfill to that condition or will she Lisa it?
The Simpsons might be 28, but it never gets old.

Then at 8:30p, Son of Zorn is going to learn about love from his dad. What can wrong? Everything. But by the end of the episode Zorn learns a little thing about love in this sweet episode of the original show that combines animated and live action.
Finally, Fox saved the best for last as in The Last Man on Earth. The season premiere at 9:30 picks up when their finale left off and the 3 men in radioactive protective suits are storming towards them. Our sensational six (Will Forte, Kristen Shaal, January Jones, Mary Steenburgen, Cleopatra Coleman and Mel Rodriguez) try to get away, but they are blocked in by Todd’s (Rodriquez’s) A-team van. They have no choice to confront the three men coming at them. When the mysterious strangers enter the house, Melissa (Jones) shoots one and it is a surprise A-List guest. He will not be back for another episode, but what about the rest of the cast? Are they destined for more episodes?
I won’t answer that, but I will tell you this is their funniest episode to date and they have all been pretty hysterical.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0wLCGwYZ3g Pitch swings and hits a homer tonight at 9p on Fox. The heartwarming drama is about the first female player who makes it up to the big leagues. If you think about, it looks like we have the first female President before we have a woman in the majors. Who would’ve thought? Both don’t seem like a reality, but Pitch makes it seem like it can be one.
Ginny Baker (Kylie Bunbury) is called up to the Big Leagues after many years in the Minors. There is so much attention surrounding her pitching debut, but can the first MLB female player live up to the hype, and survive the pressure. Her publicist is on her side as is some of her teammates and bosses, but then there are those that think she is just a gimmick. Is she? You will have to watch to find out. Pitch is a show that every parent needs to watch with his little girl so that she can learn she can be whatever she wants! That and it is one of the few dramas you can watch as a family.

I watched Notorious a few months ago, and I didn’t like it. I am opting not to watch it again because I disliked it that much.
If it was just about a News Producer (Piper Perabo) and a Lawyer (Daniel Sunjata), who are breaking news stories, because of their friendship; then fine. But then there is a case that develops during the episode and it doesn’t keep my interest because it is one we have seen before, so not fine.
That and I am not one of the people who drinks the Shonda Rhimes Kool-Aid, so it is not like I feel like I have to watch the meat in her sandwich.
Lethal Weapon gets a small screen makeover and it is as exciting as the big screen one. Tonight at 8p on Fox get to know Clayne Crawford as Riggs and Damon Wayans as Murtaugh.
Riggs recently lost his wife and that caused the cop to have a death wish. He recently moved and he is teamed up with his new partner Murtaugh. The latter recently had a heart attack and became a father for the 3rd time, so he doesn’t want to die. Making this team interesting. Good thing Murtaugh’s wife Keesha Sharp will keep them in line.
LW is like a procedural made for the big screen, but we get to tune into a sequel each week.

Then at 9p, Empire is back but someone isn’t. Is it just one person? Or two? Or three? Or is it no one at all? The episode picks up right after the season finale, so we immediately find out what happens. The incident causes a ripple effect that everyone will feel. Don’t want to more than that. Well just that it is back, better than ever.
https://youtu.be/84Tb6vAjmQg Lucifer was one my favorite shows last season, so I was happy that it was renewed for a second one. Then I started to worry that it might suffer the Sophomore Slump like so many other shows. After watching the first two episodes of the season, I happy to report that it hasn’t. In fact, I think it is more devilishly divine!
The season premiere on Fox tonight at 9p picks up days after the finale and Lucifer (Tom Ellis) is on the search for his mother. He is looking for people who recently died and miraculously come back to life. Believe it or not, it happens more often than you think.
Then Lucifer might have caught a break when Decker (Lauren German) and him are called to investigate the murder on a set. Could the actress the victim was the body double be the body of his Dear Old Mom? He will do his hardest to find out and she will do her hardest to entice him.
All of this leads to a lot of moments that will leave you having one Hell of time and Ellis singing a beautiful song as he tickles the ivories toward the end of the show. It is worth watching this episode just for that, but you get so much more to sing about in return.
