A Footloose flash mob at a Kenny Loggins concert!!!
July 7th, 2011 under Flash Mobs, Music. [ Comments: none ]

We have seen flash mobs all over the world, at malls, at train stations, at beaches and we have even seen a show dedicated to one each episode, but I don’t think we have ever seen one at a concert until now. Yesterday while Kenny Loggins was performing in Ashland, KY a group of people, who will be performing the musical Footloose in August, did a flash mob during his show when he sang the song of the same title. I don’t think I have ever seen one at a concert before, but I wish they would happen more often because it really is the best place to do one in my opinion.
And I am not the only one who thought it was a great idea because Kenny Loggins asked his fans on Twitter to send him video of it. You know since he missed out on it because he was on stage singing the song and all. Well one fan responded and said, “our son was a ‘flash mob’ kid Enjoyed show!” along with the above video. The proud mamma son was in the center with the purple bandana and she has every reason to be proud of him!!!
On a side if you ever get a chance to see Loggins live, do it because it is a really awesome show!!!

Mobbed danced its way in to my heart!!!
March 31st, 2011 under Flash Mobs, Fox. [ Comments: none ]

Tonight on Fox at 9p Mobbed creates one of the biggest flash mobs for a very special moment and you are not going to want miss a single minute of this show that will leave crying happy tears.
Justin wants to propose to his girlfriend of three years and he wants to make it special for Nikki. So he goes to Fox and he asks them to help and they agree by gathering over 1,000 people to take part in a flash mob at the Americana.
The first half hour is Howie Mandel and So You Think You Can Dance’s Tabitha and Napoleon preparing for the big night. Howie has ideas what he wants to happen and some work and one might blow the whole thing. But one of his biggest ideas makes the proposal extra special, but you will have to watch Fox at 9p to find out how.
I admit I am a sucker for proposals and flash mobs, and this show exceeded my expectations. Once the event begins to happen, I found myself crying along with Nikki and it didn’t stop until the credits roll.
I really hope this show is back for more because we need more happy shows like this one on TV!

Hallelujah the Christmas flash mobs are starting
December 2nd, 2010 under Christmas Music, Flash Mobs. [ Comments: 1 ]

A few weeks ago over 100 people surprised mall goers by singing Hallelujah at the Seaway Mall food court and thus began the season for holiday flash mobs. I love Christmas songs and I love flash mobs, so I hope we get more of this combination in the future. Seriously listening to them sing like that just got me in to the holiday spirit!

A Modern Family Flash Mob!!!
November 18th, 2010 under Flash Mobs, Modern Family. [ Comments: 1 ]

As you know I love love love Flash Mobs, so when one of the shows I love does one I have to share it with you. Yesterday Modern Family took it on and out of all the people on the show Mitchell aka Jesse Tyler Ferguson is the last one I expected to do it. So seeing the red head dance like that had me laughing out loud!
I think in honor of Modern Family, next Wednesday we should all do a Flash Mob to En Vogue’s Free Your Mind at the airports as we wait endlessly to get home for Turkey Day!!!

A Justin Bieber flash mob!
July 5th, 2010 under Flash Mobs, Justin Bieber. [ Comments: 2 ]

via Justin Bieber’s Twitter
What is bigger these days than Justin Bieber and flash mobs? How about a Justin Bieber flash mob. Believe it or not the teen international sensation did not have his very own flash mob until last month. You would think all those little teeny boppers would have already done one for him, but it wasn’t until 70 girls got together in Gothenburg, Sweden that the Baby singer got to watch a mob dance to his hit song in a flash. Those 70 fans learned that routine in less than 2 hours and you know what they did a great job. I actually think this is one of my favorite flash mobs because I liked their dance so much. I don’t like when the mobs aren’t organized and this was pretty well done for such a short time.
Even though this has been declared the world’s first Justin Bieber flash mob, I think there will be plenty more before we know it.
BTW I wonder if that choreographer came up with the idea or someone hired him to do. I am hoping it is the latter because he will never live it down if it wasn’t.
