Ever since Friends ended, everyone has wanted to see them back together. No matter how much the fans beg for it, the cast and creators say no.
With other shows getting revivals like Will & Grace, Roseanne and Murphy Brown, everyone keeps asking the cast about it. Today, it was Steve Harvey who took the plate and asked Matt LeBlanc if he would do it.
Joey told him, “Me personally, I don’t think so. You have to talk to the writers about it. That show was about a very finite period in your life, when you were like 20 and 30, right in there when your out of school, but your life hasn’t really started yet, your friends are your family, and you are kind of finding your way. When that period is over, it is over. All the characters have gone their separate ways.” Then he added, “I have always have this standard go to joke when people say, ‘We want to see what Joey is doing now?’ I’m like, ‘Nobody wants to see Joey get his colonoscopy.'”
Yes, we do. The episode could be The One When Joey Gets a Colonoscopy. There could also be the episode, The One When Ross Gets Viagra. Or The One When Rachel Get Menopause. Or The One When Chandler Turns 50. Just as they have gotten older, so have their fans. They want to see them in that next stage. Friends like them remain friends for a lifetime. As they get older, they just get closer as life throws them curve balls. We want to see that and laugh with them.
When their residuals start to die down, I am sure they will be back for more. No offense to the cast, but what are they doing now? Jennifer Aniston is doing annoying commercials. LeBlanc is doing that CBS comedy no one watches. And the rest are… They need to do Friends, just like all the other revivals!
I guess he is just bitter because Joey was such a piece of crap. He was the one who got the spinoff and he was the worst choice. Out of all of the characters, his was the least interesting. Maybe because he was so dumb and that a one note joke that did not play well by itself. Or maybe it was the actor who played him. Sorry, I just see LeBlanc playing the same character no matter what he does and that goes back to before he was a friend.
What do you think of the cast being so against doing a reunion or a revival?
Shemar Moore was on The Steve Harvey Show yesterday and a fan wanted to know how many packs does he abs have. Is it is a 6-pack, 8-pack or more? He did not know the answer off hand, so he lifted up his shirt to count. He did not reveal the number he got, but I stopped counting at one. I was too distracted to go any higher. Too bad his shirt didn’t go any higher than it did. If it did, I probably would not have even gotten to one.
Maybe he will be able to go topless on SWAT tonight at 10p on CBS. That is enough reason to watch that show.
Last year, Steve Harvey met with Donald Trump before he took office, so is that inspiring the Family Feud host to run president? At least on his game show it is because they asked the contestants, “Name a talk show host, you’d vote for for president?” Of course, the first guess was for Harvey and only 11 people said they would vote for him.
What about Oprah Winfrey, who just took her name out of the hat? Only two more people said they would vote for her over him.
Who was #1? We do not know because they did not post it. Therefore, it is up to you guess who you think it is. I say Jerry Springer, at least he has held a political position. Mayor of Cincinnati is more experience than Trump has ever had.
Also no word if this was taped before or after the Golden Globes when people started begging Lady O to run for President. It will be interesting to find out.
The last time that Mario Lopez was on The Steve Harvey Show, the ratings spiked when he shook his money maker. Therefore, the daytime talk show host asked the Extra one to put on his boogie shoes and do his best Saturday Night Fever moves and more today on the program. I do not know what the dances were called, but does it really matter? I just like watching him thrust his pelvis in those tight grey slacks. You know how 3OH!3 says “talk with your hips”? Well I am listening to Lopez’s! Aren’t you?
Recently, Tia Mowry revealed that they are working on bringing Sister, Sister back to TV, and today Steve Harvey asked Jackée Harry on his talk show if the rumors are true. Lisa Landry told him, “Yeah, it is happening!” And with that response, the audience went wild with excitement for it. Then the sassy actress told him, Yeah, I am excited. Tia and Tamera, they’re my babies, they’re my babies too.” How excited are you to see her reunited with her babies on the small screen again?
No other details were revealed like if Tim Reid will also be in it and what it will be about. But who cares, it is coming back!
Before she gets working on that show, she is starring in Tyler Perry’s Paynes that debuts on OWN tonight. She describes her character as “crooked, corrupt, Cougar,” which she can play with her eyes closed.
