 Actress Brande Roderick is set to wed former Denver Bronco Glenn Cadrez, her rep confirms exclusively to PEOPLE. Cadrez, 36, proposed on Sunday in front of more than 30,000 spectators at the Del Mar Classic horse race in Del Mar, Calif., where Roderick, 32, was on hand to present the prize to the winner. He got down on one knee and presented her with a three-carat diamond ring he’d designed himself. Roderick, a native of Novato, Calif., played Leigh Dyer on TV’s Baywatch from 2000 to 2001. She also appeared in 2004’s Starsky & Hutch and will be seen in next year’s The Nanny Diaries with Scarlett Johansson. A former Playboy model, she previously dated Hugh Hefner. Cadrez retired from the NFL after playing 11 seasons as a linebacker for the Denver Broncos, New York Jets and Kansas City Chiefs. Vice president of California Police Youth Charities, he’s now involved in movie production and event planning. He has three daughters.

Brittany Murphy and Joe Macaluso, engaged since last New Year’s Eve, have broken off their engagement, PEOPLE has learned exclusively. The two "have amicably ended their engagement. They remain close friends and wish each other much happiness," a rep for Murphy tells PEOPLE. Last Sunday, Murphy showed up at the Teen Choice Awards without her engagement ring. Asked about her wedding plans in the press room, the actress became evasive before saying, "Everything is going wonderful, thank you. I’m just living every moment, you know, enjoying my day." Murphy, 28, who had met Macaluso – who is a best boy grip responsible for lighting and electricity on a movie set – while filming Little Black Book. After that film wrapped production, she asked him to the movies for their first date.
The couple went on 17 dates before they shared their first kiss. They became engaged on Dec. 31, 2005. "It felt right," the actress told PEOPLE in January. "I love being in love." It was the second engagement for Murphy, who was previously set to marry wed manager Jeff Kwatinetz.

Pamela Anderson and her beau, Kid Rock, are getting married, a source close to the Baywatch star confirms to PEOPLE. "I’m finally getting remarried…it’s been a whirlwind…spontaneous but well thought through," says the actress on her Web site. Though she does not name Kid Rock in the note, which was posted Tuesday, the source tells PEOPLE that the couple plan to tie the knot on July 29, on a yacht near St. Tropez, where they recently celebrated Anderson’s 39th birthday. "I’ve raised my kids alone in hope of a miracle," Anderson writes. "Well my miracle came and went. And came back and came back because he knew that I’d wake up one day and realize that I was waiting for nothing. I’m moving on…I feel like I’m finally free….I’m in love. I’m happy."

Comedian Eddie Murphy will marry ex-Spice Girl Mel B this autumn, according to reports. Scary Spice – full name Melanie Brown – let slip that her shock coupling will be enshrined in holy matrimony this September, after being overheard chatting on a Trans-Atlantic flight.The People reports Mel told a fellow passenger she will marry the film funnyman in Hollywood in a low-key family affair.Mel – who was previously married to dancer Jimmy Gulzar – met recently-divorced Murphy whilst recording in Los Angeles.
