The Oscars are Sunday night, and the nominees got together to break bread yesterday. Around 170 people gathered at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures to enjoy a cocktail reception and private dinners.
When all of that was done, it was time to take the annual class photo. Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo were front and center, while Demi Moore and Edward Norton were in the last row. And then there is Timothée Chalamet, who was doing a Where is Waldo because he was hiding out. Look for the mustache to find him.
One person who was missing in the photo is controversial nominee Emilia Pérez’s Karla Sofía Gascón. And I am sure no one had a problem with that.
This event was originally scheduled as a lunch on February 10th. However, it was postponed due to the Palisades and Altadena fires.
James Corden hung out with Ed Norton and the CBS late night host wanted to live out a dream. He wanted to know what it was like to be in Fight Club. Therefore yesterday on The Late Late Show, Corden took Norton to a fight club like place and wanted to fight. There was one problem, the star did not want to do it.
Thus the Cats star started bashing his guest’s movies, hoping that would rile him up. Eventually, Norton went all The Narrator and punched Corden. There was no fight. Just two hits, the actor hitting the host and the host hitting the floor. Living out a dream for other people.
Remember in Fight Club when Ed Norton awkwardly punched Brad Pitt in the ear? Turns out the actor really clocked him there.
Yesterday when Norton was on The Tonight Show, he told Jimmy Fallon that the director, David Fincher, told him to connect with one of his co-star’s body parts. Therefore, he just went for it and nailed Pitt’s hearing organ.
Which is a good thing because had Norton done anything to destroy that beautiful face, he probably would not have worked in this town again. Which means, I would not have had Death to Smoochy. And it is all about me.
