Back in May of 1999, Heroes’ Adrian Pasdar and Dixie Chicks’ Natalie Maines met at a wedding, around 13 months later they had their own special day and 17 years and a few weeks after their nuptials she filed for divorce.
The former-couple did not release a joint statement, but her rep told People it is a “private family matter. They have two sons Jackson Slade, 16 and Beckett Finn, 12 and she is asking for joint custody.
No word was given for their split, but it is said to be amicable. Just like most Hollywood or Nashville divorces, we will find out soon enough if it really is amicable.

Dixie Chicks Set To Split After The Grammys?…. Country trio the Dixie Chicks are hatching a secret plan to split up after the Grammy Awards next February (07) because sisters Martie Maguire and Emily Robison want to concentrate on being great mothers. Insiders claim the siblings are "tired and wrung out" after spending the past three years defending themselves from comments singer Natalie Maines made onstage in London in 2003 – and they’re desperate for a long-term break. The trio became the targets of fierce backlash from the country music world when Maines announced she was ashamed to come from the same state (Texas) as Us President George W Bush. And now insiders claim the sisters have had enough of celebrity and want to hang up their fiddles. A source tells US tabloid National Enquirer, "They feel they’ve come to the end , and they want a break from each other to spend more time with their families." And the insider claims the "passive" siblings are so sick of having to support outspoken Maines, and the controversies she has created have driven a wedge between the trio.

Even if they were to split, you know they will have a reunion tour in a few years.

Dixie Chicks vs Reba |

LATEST:Country star REBA MCENTIRE has weighed in against the DIXIE CHICKS again, after they criticised fans of her music. The pair first came to blows after the group criticised US President GEORGE W BUSH’s – a close friend of Republican MCEntire – decision to go to war in Iraq. Although they later apologised, singer MARTIE MAGUIRE recently took back the apology and claimed the furore had helped them connect with their audience, adding an attack on MCEntire: "I’d rather have a small following of really cool people who get it, who will grow with us as we grow and are fans for life, than people that have us in their five-disc (CD) changer with Reba MCEntire and Toby Keith. We don’t want those kind of fans. They limit what you can do." MCEntire is furious. She’s quoted in the New York Daily News, saying, "(I’m) very disappointed. I’ve never turned my back on country music. "So when somebody talks bad about my music, my family, that does not set well with me. And when you bite the hand that feeds you, I just don’t think that’s very nice."

I am siding with Reba on this one!
