Liza Minelli, fresh off her cameo appearance in the film "The OH in Ohio" and her recurring role in "Arrested Development," will guest-star in an upcoming episode of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent." Minelli, 59, will play a former beauty queen whose daughter, an aspiring beauty queen, was found murdered on Halloween night, said Pam Golum, a spokeswoman for Wolf Films, which produces the NBC show. The episode, called "Masquerade," is filming now and will air in November, Golum said Thursday.

Sounds like a twisted take on the JonBenet Ramsey case. Plus it is nice to finally see Liza play a Queen for once since she has been married to so many! On another note, first Chevy Chase now Liza Minnelli…who is next?

Question: Anything on Law & Order: Criminal Intent? — Jenny
Ausiello: Only that it’s allegedly the latest NBC drama series to see its episode order shaved back from 22 to 18.
Ask Ausiello
Whenever a show’s order is cut like that, it means the show will not coming back the following season. Don’t forget The OC also had their order cut down to 16 this year.

Actress Nona Gaye has left the cast of NBC’s "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" shortly after she signed on to play the new assistant district attorney. Sources cited creative differences for Gaye’s hasty exit, which occurred soon after production began on the crime drama’s sixth season.Gaye, the daughter of late soul icon Marvin Gaye, was quickly replaced by Theresa Randle, whose first day on the set is expected to be Tuesday. Her deal covers just three episodes, with an option to continue on the show as a regular.

I can not wait to hear the real story on why she really quit.

Former "Law & Order" employee Sharon Burke is suing NBC over allegations she was fired after rejecting a female producer’s sexual advances on a Hollywood set.The Emmy-winning makeup artist claimed that after refusing the sexual advances of the show’s production manager, Jamie Crowell, she was falsely accused of stealing at the end of that season’s shooting and fired, the New York Post said."She told me about her sex life, things she did with her husband, and she asked me about my sex life," Burke said.Burke’s husband, cameraman Terrence Burke, was also fired from the show at the same time as his wife. Both had been with the series for 10 years, the Post said.As part of her Manhattan suit, Burke, who won an Emmy for her work on "Pee Wee’s Playhouse," is seeking $1 million in punitive damages.NBC officials say Burke’s allegations are entirely untrue. "We believe that these claims are without merit," an NBC spokeswoman told the Post.

Shame NBC cancelled Conviction and Trial By Jury because they could’ve helped Law & Order out.
