Dancing with the Stars is turning 30 in the Fall |

|  (ABC/Eric McCandless) ABC announced today that they renewed Dancing with the Stars for its 30th edition. The milestone season will debut in the Fall with more who is that and has-beens vying for the mirrorball trophy.
They also revealed that Len Goodman, who took a season off because of COVID-19, will be back in the ballroom. That is the good news. The bad news is Tyra Banks is returning as the host and Derek Hough as a judge.
The latter two remind me why I gave up the show many seasons ago.

A.J McLean and Cheryl Burke like to switch outfits sometimes after they finish a night of Dancing with the Stars. Most of the time, it works. However, yesterday was a big fail. That is because the Backstreet Boy freed the boys. Not those boys, but the boys that us girls call the girls.
You know what, it works. You know what doesn’t work, the fact that they got eliminated yesterday. I was rooting for them. I was hoping they wouldn’t say Bye, Bye, Bye this early in the competition.
Yes, I know that is an *NSYNC song, but after all of these years, aren’t they just the same band?

Jeannie Mai is forced to drop out of Dancing with the Stars |

Jeannie Mai is in the hospital for surgery this morning, and she is forced to drop out of Dancing with the Stars. The Real host is suffering from epiglottitis, a potentially life threatening inflammatory condition. According to the Mayo Clinic, the condition occurs when “the epiglottis — a small cartilage \”lid\” that covers your windpipe — swells, blocking the flow of air into your lungs.”
“My doctors discovered a health concern with my throat which requires immediate attention and surgery,” she told Good Morning America in an exclusive statement. “I am heartbroken that my DWTS journey has to end here.”
“I have pushed myself to new limits physically and mentally, and I am so proud of how far we’ve come,” she added.
Her partner, Brandon Armstrong, told GMA he is heartbroken, but he is praying she has a speedy recovery.
Due to her leaving the show unexpectedly, tonight’s double elimination will only be a single one.
Get well soon. I am sure Mama Mai will have tons of soup waiting for you.

Cheryl Burke was rehearsing for Dancing with the Stars with A.J. McLean yesterday, and then something horrible happened. The dancer suddenly lost her footing and slammed her head on the floor, according to People.
“Cheryl and I were practicing during stage rehearsal and it did not go well,” her partner, Backstreet Boys’ McLean, says in the clip we will see tonight. “It happened so fast, I just heard her head hit the floor.”
Paramedics checked her out and told her to take the rest of the day off. In typical DWTS fashion, we will not know until tonight if she will be dancing on the ABC competition show.
While she might be down for the count, the others are losing their heads over being in the top 10.

Ever since Dancing with the Stars started, the men wear pants and a button-down shirt while the woman put on revealing dresses or leotards with fringe. What would they look like if they switched it up?
That is what AJ McLean and Cheryl Burke showed us. Do you know what? I think they should have one week where the men where the women’s costumes and vice versa. Mostly because the Backstreet boy looks good in a low-cut, red one-piece. What do you think of opposite day on DWTS?
