Cheryl Burke was feeling run down yesterday, so she decided to get a COVID-19 test. As she suspected, she has a breakthrough case of coronavirus. Therefore, she has to quarantine for 12 days.
That means she will have to miss at least two episodes of Dancing with the Stars. So, Cody Rigsby, if he is allowed to continue, will have to dance with someone else. They might decide that he has to quarantine too.
There is so much that will have to be explained tonight during the show. For example, judges Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli are over 65, and Carrie Ann Inaba has an autoimmune disease. Even though Inaba is vaccinated and had COVID-19, I know someone who still had a breakthrough case after getting it and being vaccinated.
There are so many variables that make this scenario different than an injury. So it will be interesting to see how it all plays out.
When the producers and the hosts of The View woke up this morning, they thought that they would make news because Vice President Kamala Harris was going to be live in the studio on the daytime talk show. They were wrong.
After the first break, Sunny Hostin and Ana Navarro were separated from Joy Behar and Sarah Haines, and no one knew why. Then the producer informed them that the former two had tested positive for COVID-19, and they were escorted off the set.
Behar and Haines were left to fill time while dealing with the shock that they were that close to two people with a breakthrough case of coronavirus, and the Vice President of the United States about to walk out.
No one knew what to do, and it was live television. So Behar pretended she was Carol Burnett and took questions from the audience as they waited for the VP to make her appearance.
However, the show and Secret Service decided not to risk the VP’s health, and she answered their questions from a remote location. A smart decision because the Republicans would have had a field day if she caught COVID during her appearance on the show. Could you imagine?
Hopefully, Behar, 78, and Haines, who has three kids under 6, will not catch it, and Hostin and Navarro get well soon.
In case you are wondering, where is Whoopi Goldberg? She has been absent from the show most of this week because her sciatica has been acting. Who knew a pain in her a$$ would save her being that close to the virus, especially with all of her health issues.
The moral of this story is that we still need to be safe, even if we are vaccinated. There are still too many COVIDiots out there who are not getting the shot, risking their health and ours. Yes, if you are vaccinated, you can still get COVID. However, you won’t get anywhere as near of a severe case if you weren’t vaccinated. Stop whining like little babies who don’t know any better, and get the fucking show, you selfish assholes!
Wendy Williams was supposed to be back on her daily talk show this upcoming Monday, but that is no longer the case. That is because she tested positive for COVID-19, even though she allegedly got the vaccine.
“While continuing her health evaluations, Wendy has tested positive for a breakthrough case of COVID-19,” the statement reads. “To allow Wendy time to quarantine and fully recover and to ensure that our production abides by all SAG/AFTRA and DGA Covid protocols, we expect to begin the 13th season of The Wendy Williams Show. on Monday, October 4th. In the meantime, repeats will be scheduled.”
Williams was supposed to be doing press for the show this week but cancelled. She says that she is dealing with “ongoing health issues” and was being evaluated for them instead.
Now they are saying that she has a breakthrough case of COVID-19. However, I wonder if it is a breakthrough case because she was so adamant to Dr. Oz in January that she would not get the vaccine. But then again, I assume she was told she had to get it if she wanted to return to work.
I hope that SAG/AFTRA’s new president Fran Drescher makes it mandatory for everyone in the union to get the shot if they want to work on any production. This is a perfect example of why.
Nicki Minaj was supposed to attend MTV’s VMAs and The Met Gala over the last 2 days but pulled out of both. Today, she explained why. “I was prepping for vmas then i shot a video & guess who got COVID?” she wrote. “Do u know what it is not to be able to kiss or hold your tiny baby for over a week? A baby who is only used to his mama? ‘get vaccinated’ Drake had just told me he got covid w|THE VACCINE tho so chile.”
Then she explained why she hasn’t gotten vaccinated. She said, “They want you to get vaccinated for the Met. if I get vaccinated it won’t for the Met. It’ll be once I feel I’ve done enough research. I’m working on that now. In the meantime my loves, be safe. Wear the mask with 2 strings that grips your head & face. Not that loose one Folded handsHeart suit.”
She also told her fans that she has had the same symptoms as people who got the vaccine.
That might be the case for her, but it is not for everyone. What would’ve happened if, Gd forbid, she had given COVID-19 to her son. I think then she will have wished she got the vaccine earlier.
She is not anti-vax and is asking which one to take. At this point, it doesn’t matter; just get it.
I mean, how much more research does she have to do? It is not like the vaccine came out this month. It’s been almost a year since we knew they were coming. The vaccine is safer than getting COVID-19. Ask anyone who had the latter first.
A little over two weeks ago, Paul Stanely was diagnosed with COVID-19. And it is not slowing him down in the least.
The KISS singer wrote, “SIXTEEN DAYS since my Covid symptoms. TWENTY FIVE MILES on my bike today. I’m back and NEVER would have been through it like this without being double vaxxed and proper medications.”
This is even more incredible when you realize that he is 69 years old. When I am 69, I just want to stay awake for 25 minutes in a row. I can’t even imagine wanting to do 25 miles on a bike.
I guess if you have been Rocking and Rolling all nite and partying every day as long as he has, you have the stamina to do that. Since I haven’t, I will live vicariously through him.
Anyways, I do have something in common with him. I am also double vaccinated. I hope you can say the same. It is the only way we are going to get through this.
