Conan O’Brien is returning to The Tonight Show
April 4th, 2024 under Conan O'Brien, Jimmy Fallon. [ Comments: none ]

It has been 14 years since Conan O’Brien was forced to say goodbye to The Tonight Show and NBC.

If the funny host had opted never to return to 30 Rock, no one would have a problem with that.

However, he has something to promote, so he is making the press rounds and will stop by The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on April 9th.

I cannot wait to see how it goes when Conan talks about Max’s Conan O’Brien Must Go, which debuts on April 18th.

Personally, I wish he was doing Late Night with Seth Meyers because they are late night’s best interviewers. So you know it would be an interesting and entertaining chat with a lot of yucks!

Conan O’Brien is reunited with Jordan Schlansky, and it looks so good!
March 19th, 2024 under Conan O'Brien. [ Comments: none ]

On April 18th, Conan O’Brien is going to travel to Norway, Thailand, Argentina, and Ireland for his new series Conan O’Brien Must Go on Max.

Today, the streaming service released the first trailer, and we got to see his reunion with his employenemy, Jordan Schlansky.

Schlansky hasn’t changed, and I feel for the people of Argentina as he shares his “knowledge” of their country.

While he has an old friend with him to meet some new friends on that adventure, he will travel alone to his motherland to find out if they know who he is. And they don’t.

But we do. And we know how informative and funny his adventures overseas were, thanks to his old specials, Conan Without Borders. I learned more about Cuba from him than I did from my six years of living in Miami.

So, I can’t wait to see what we learn from this show because his trips are always educational and entertaining.

Conan O’Brien is traveling the world to meet his fans

A few years ago, TBS told us Conan O’Brien must go. And now Max is giving him a show on April 18th called Conan O’Brien Must Go.

Conan is visiting new friends he’s met through his podcast, Conan O’Brien Needs a Fan, where he dives deep with listeners from around the world. Making stops in Norway, Thailand, Argentina, and Ireland, O’Brien surprises some of his most memorable fans while also taking in local culture, cuisine, and sights.

If this is anything like his series Conan Without Borders, then it is a must-watch. He has a way of showing us locations like no one else. It is educational and fun! Because he doesn’t only visit the tourist traps, but he goes to the places that the locals frequent.

You’ll be shocked who Conan O’Brien says is his least favorite guest
October 4th, 2023 under Conan O'Brien, Ed Sheeran. [ Comments: none ]

Conan O’Brien has interviewed hundreds of celebrities over the last 30 years, but who was his least favorite? That is what Ed Sheeran wanted to know when they were chatting on the Conan Needs a Friend podcast.

“It was someone from a long time ago. It was when we were first starting the show. We had, I mean, this amazing singer, actress Eartha Kitt was on the show. A lot of people know her from the 1960s Batman. She played Catwoman a little bit,” he said. “She was very tough to talk to. And I was brand new. And so I put most of it on myself. But, I would say things like, ‘Oh, you dated James Dean back in 1954.’ And, she would say, ‘Well, so what? Why are you asking me?'”

And that is when Sheeran said that it is more like a statement than a question. And now Sheeran is his least favorite guest.

Conan was joking about Sheeran, but he got serious and hinted he was not a fan of interviewing the cast from The WB shows, who were young and pompous. I am assuming he is talking about James Van Der Beek, who has admitted he was douche during his Dawson’s Creek days.

Who are Conan’s favorite guests? He loved talking to the late Norm MacDonald and Will Ferrell. He enjoys the Anchorman because you never know what he is going to bring with him, and you just have to go with it.

It is real moments like the ones we saw between Conan and Sheeran that really makes me miss him having a talk show. None of the Strike Force Five are as good as him when it comes to interviewing. Seth Meyers comes the closest, but he is still no Conan.

Ed Sheeran suffered shrinkage while making Autumn Variations

Ed Sheeran went live with Conan O’Brien on the podcast Conan Needs a Friend, and he talked about making his new album Autumn Variations.

Believe it or not. Sheeran was working on Autumn Variations when he took a break from recording it to write the songs that went on Subtract, which was released in May.

It is not that hard to believe when you find out that the singer spends his weekdays, 10a-5p, in the studio writing new music. All he hopes for is that he can write one good song a month because, after a year, he has an album.

So, he spent a lot of time writing songs about his friends for his latest record, which comes out on the 29th. And he wrote it by the English sea.

Back in December, the director decided that he should film some videos by the sea with the waves crashing on him. The director offered to do it in Los Angeles, but Sheeran said I can do it in England.

That turned out to be a huge mistake. Because he told Conan, “I lost a couple of inches for a couple of days.”

Some might say he suffered for his art. But I say he suffered for his bravado. ‘

With the number of songs he writes a day, he says two to three; I am sure he wrote one about his shrinking dick. However, I don’t think we will ever hear it. But we should.

I sincerely hope that one day, he decides to release a record with all of the joke songs he has penned. You know that he has written several of those.
