Medium sees a new network tonight!
September 25th, 2009 under CBS. [ Comments: none ]

Medium is back tonight on its new network at 9p and being paired with Ghost Whisperer on CBS is a perfect fit for the show. Last season the show ended on that other network with Allison’s life in flux after having surgery to remove a brain tumor. This season it picks with Allison awake a few months after her surgery, but suffering from the effects of the stroke and the loss of her power. She goes to Devalos to ask for her job back and he takes her back even though she can no longer see the dead. Besides dealing with no longer having her dreams, partial paralysis from the stroke and being out of work, she still has her family to deal with. Joe is being understanding as usual. but how much is he going to take? How will Allison deal without having her dreams? Will she still be able to help stop crimes and catch the bad guys? Find out tonight and every Friday night on 9p on CBS to find out all the answers to those questions? Plus this is a really good show that was given the chance to start over on a network that actually believes in them for the first time in a really long time!
And don’t forget to check out Ghost Whisperer at 8p to watch Melinda become a mom to a son who has inherited her ability!

NCIS: Los Angeles and The Good Wife premiere on CBS tonight!
September 22nd, 2009 under CBS, NCIS. [ Comments: none ]

Tuesday night’s highest rated show NCIS is getting its first spinoff tonight on CBS at 9p called NCIS: Los Angeles. Just like the original they will be solving Naval crimes, but unlike the show that airs at 8p it takes place in Los Angeles and stars Chris O’Donnell and LL Cool J. As soon as you see these two on the screen together, you can tell that they have awesome chemistry. And that chemistry plays well as they try to solve their first case back together after Chris O’Donnell’s character G returns to his job after being shot 6 months beforehand. Their first case is full of twists and turns with an ending you will never see coming. I was watching the whole episode on the edge of my seat waiting to see how it would all play out and I can’t wait for next week’s case because tonight’s was so good. I think this show along with the original are going to make CBS a dynamo on Tuesday nights.
BTW I have to admit as good as LL and Chris are on the show, my favorite character is Hetty played by the remarkable Linda Hunt. She is one tough cookie I would hate to have as my office manager, but I love watching her on NCIS: Los Angeles.

After NCIS: Los Angeles, The Good Wife premieres on CBS at 10p. I have to admit when I got the screener for this show I wanted to hate it because I am not a fan of Juliana Margulies, but I actually liked it. The show starts off with Juliana playing a politician’s wife whose husband was caught with his pants down…literally. Being The Good Wife she stands by her man, but with him going to jail she need to step up and become the man in the house. She takes a job as a lawyer at an old colleague’s firm after being a stay-at-home mom for all the years she supported her husband’s career, and it is not going to be an easy transition for her. Her cases are tough, but she is good at what she does and she will get through the day as a lawyer and a mom! Besides dealing with the hard pro-bono cases, she is also competing with I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell’s Matt Czuchry for a position at the company and he really wants the job and will doing anything to get it!
So if you are looking for a Good show to watch at 10p on Tuesday The Good Wife is for you!

Jenna Elfman is Accidentally on Purpose pregnant with baby #2
September 16th, 2009 under CBS, Jenna Elfman. [ Comments: none ]

Jenna Elfman is playing a pregnant Cougar on her new CBS sitcom Accidentally on Purpose that premieres on Monday at 8:30p, but she isn’t only playing a pregnant woman she is one in real life. She told The Early Show she is expecting her second baby which worked out perfectly for her. Because unlike her co-star Ashley Jensen, who is also in the family way, she doesn’t have to hide her pregnancy. So as she said in the interview, when you play a woman with a baby bump, what better time to get pregnant for real. If I were Lennon Parham, the show’s only other female cast member, I would stock up on condoms unless she too wants to be a mom like her two cast members.

CBS gets in costume for Let’s Make a Deal!!!
August 3rd, 2009 under CBS. [ Comments: 1 ]

CBS announced today they are bringing back Let’s Make a Deal on October 5th with Wayne Brady as the host. The hour long game show will be filling Guiding Light’s slot. Although the show has a new host the original host Monty Hall will be a consultant on the new version. What was cool about the press conference is that the original host told stories about the evolution of Let’s Make a Deal. Costumes were not part of the first two weeks of the show when it first started, but one day a woman made a sign saying to pick her and he did. The next week 500 people made signs and then came the costumes and those as we know stuck. When asked what his favorite costume was, he told the story of a woman whose husband was an electrical engineer, made a costume for her with a stage with 3 doors and a mini Monty Hall that went in and out of the doors and even with this most awesome costume she was not a contestant on the show and she would not let him keep her brilliant attire.
But enough about the past, the new version will have the feel of the old one but will bring it into the new millennium! I personally think that Wayne Brady is the perfect host for the show because he has a natural ability to relate to his audience. In fact that is something he brought up, he says he tailors his humor to his audience. So the jokes he will be telling on the CBS daytime show will not be the same ones he tells at his Vegas show. Which is not something everyone can do and that is why he is so good at what he does!
So tune in and dress up for CBS’s Let’s Make a Deal on October 5th!
