Is NCIS throwing out some of its actors with the trash?
February 5th, 2013 under CBS, Michael Weatherly, NCIS. [ Comments: none ]

Michael Weatherly Tweeted the above photo of him in a dumpster and I am wondering if NCIS is throwing him out? Nah it was probably for a scene in an upcoming episode of TV’s #1 show NCIS.
Seriously why would they get rid of him? I mean who doesn’t love DiNozzo. I am sure I am not the only person who wants to give him a light tap on the back of his head just for the heck of it.

Elementary is having a Super Bowl of a season!
February 3rd, 2013 under CBS, Super Bowl. [ Comments: none ]

Elementary is the #1 new show of the season and so far it is has only been scoring touchdowns. Not only was the Thursday night drama that airs at 10 picked up for a full season, CBS also ordered an addition episode. And the good news doesn’t stop there, tonight CBS gave the show its biggest vote of confidence because Sherlock is going to solve a crime after the Super Bowl. Each year only one show gets that accolade and this year it belongs to Elementary!
So how does show creator Rob Doherty feel about the honor? Here is what he said recently at the CBS Winter Press Day, “It’s an honor; it’s a privilege; it’s an incredible opportunity to expose the show to people who may not have checked it out yet. And so we tried to take all that into consideration as we developed the story that we felt, you know, not only was a good example of what the show can do, but something that our regular audience would you know, would really have fun with as well.”
So once you are hooked on the show, if you are not already, what do you have to look forward to:

Moriaty – Doherty says he is coming, but as of now no one has been cast in the role and he explained why. He said, “You know, it’s tricky business. We cannot wait to get more serious about Moriarty. In this day and age, it’s so hard to stunt it’s so hard it’s virtually impossible to stunt a role and not have everyone in the universe know that this person is coming and will be revealed as this character. So we’re approaching it very carefully and as quietly as we can. At the end of the day, we want a tremendous actor, but again, it’s certainly it’s less fun for me if all of you know who it is and when they’ll arrive and what they’ll be doing. But it’s a problem in the immediate future, but at least not we have a few more weeks, I think, before we have to sweat that.”

Irene Adler – Here is what Doherty said about her, “Irene is somebody what I don’t like about the character of Irene right now is really she’s a name. She’s an important element of Sherlock’s backstory, especially our Sherlock. I’d love to have a face to that name. And we’ve talked, in a very roundabout way, about maybe doing a flashback show where we can see a little bit more of why would someone like our Sherlock be drawn to this particular woman? What is it about her that would that he would be attracted to? She’s got to be pretty unique. So we definitely want to meet her. And so in that sense, you will see a living, breathing actress reading lines and portraying Irene.”

What’s next the next step for Sherlock and Watson’s relationship? – Doherty said, “We’ve always planned to get to a point in the season where we formalized the relationship. I mean, you know, the sober companionship was a starting point. It was important to the series, and it gave — you know, it gave Watson a real purpose to be in the life of Holmes. But you can’t do that for six, seven, eight years. And so we don’t plan to. You know, as we — again, as we get into this end run, as we wrap up this season, we want to redefine that relationship. I mean, I think at this point it’s fairly clear that there’s — you know, there’s a great deal of respect between the two of them. You know, I feel like a powerful friendship has — you know, has developed. It’s not that may not be the term that either would use to describe you know, either character would use to describe that relationship, but it’s a friendship. And, yet you, know, my sense of Sherlock is that everything many things need to be defined in a more formal way. So I think that as he recognizes the sober companion side of things, or the sober companion side of Joan is sort of falling away, he’ll want to make her more appropriate, you know, more of an associate, more of a partner, more of somebody he can lean on and utilize in an investigative way.”

CBS’s summer will be Unforgettable!
January 12th, 2013 under Big Brother- US, CBS. [ Comments: none ]

Even though TV’s midseason is just starting out that isn’t stopping CBS from announcing their summer schedule.
CBS initially cancelled Unforgettable, but then a few weeks after they did that they announced they were bringing it back as a summer show. The show that stars Poppy Montgomery as a cop who doesn’t forget anything will be back on January 28th.
Unforgettable isn’t the only scripted show heating up CBS’s lineup this summer, Stephen King’s Under the Dome makes it debut on June 24th. The series is described as “a small town that is suddenly and inexplicably sealed off from the rest of the world by an enormous transparent dome. The town’s inhabitants must deal with surviving the post-apocalyptic conditions while searching for answers to what this barrier is, where it came from and if and when it will go away.” Haven’t we seen that on The Twilight Zone and The Simpsons? Even though we have, I can’t wait to see what happens!
Big Brother is back and it will be back for two extra weeks starting on July 2nd. Plus the Thursday eviction show is moving to Wednesdays.
On May 29th CBS is cooking up the American version of the English show The Great British Bake Off. The competition show is described as “The series features skilled amateur Americans competing in baking challenges with one ultimately being crowned the winner.”

Blue Bloods kisses Jennifer Esposito goodbye!
January 6th, 2013 under CBS. [ Comments: none ]

Back in October it was announced that Jennifer Esposito was put on medical leave from Blue Bloods because she suffers from Celiac Disease. Depending on who told the story CBS or the actress, you got two different stories about her leave. The actress went on several talk shows and took to Twitter and her blog saying she was unfairly pulled from the show. She added that the network wasn’t letting her find any other work even though she wasn’t working on the show and not getting paid. Well looks like she is free to find work because TV Line is reporting that she was let go from the show permanently.
As a fan of the family cop drama, I have to say I will not miss her. Now if only she could take that guy who plays the younger brother with her. Although he is barely on anyways.

Hawaii Five-0 let’s you pick the killer!
January 3rd, 2013 under CBS. [ Comments: none ]

How many times have you watched a procedural and been like I know who the killer is? Well on January 14th, you will be able to write the ending for Hawaii Five-0. All you have to do is watch the show on Monday the 14th at 10p on CBS and when the three suspects motives are revealed you can go to CBS.com or on Twitter and let them if #theBoss, #theTA or #theStudent did it. What no butler?
But back to Hawaii Five-0, the votes will be tallied during the show and the murderer with the most votes will be revealed at the end of the episode. If your guy didn’t win, then you can go to CBS.com after the show airs to see how the show would’ve ended if that person did it. And the East Coast and the West Coast will each be able to write their own episodes, so for once we three hour behinders will get our say and not just have to listen to what you people on the other side of the country think should happen.
I think it is brilliant that they are trying this. In fact I think more shows should do this because how many times have you guessed who the killer is because it is the most famous guest star in the episode? At least this way we have a say in who did the deed, whether we know who they are not. Plus it is something different and involves us the viewers. How many times does a non-reality show include us???
