Kevin VanHook, who wrote and directed Haunted Prison, The Fallen Ones and Voodoo Moon, is back doing his first love comic books. He just finished the 6-part series Superman and Batman Vs. Vampires and Werewolves. I am not a comic book reader and I want to run out and buy it. It has a little something for every comic book reader a little Superheroes and a some mythological creatures!
A man is killed by a mysterious creature — his body drained of blood. A woman is savagely attacked by a ferocious beast — her jugular ripped out. Bat wings flutter across the moon and the howl of a wolf echoes through the streets, for the creatures of the night have risen from the grave, and humanity's only salvation is the combined might of The Last Son of Krypton and The Dark Knight Detective. Blood will run red when Superman and Batman face off against vampires and werewolves for the fate of the entire DCU! 32 pages, $2.99, in stores on Oct. 15 and Oct. 29.
Can't wait until October to pick up Superman and Batman Vs. Vampires and Werewolves, run to your comic book store and buy it now in Diamond Previews.
BTW Kevin VanHook is also wrapping a documentary, Fantastic Flesh about make-up FX that is slated to air on Starz! on October 28th. Seeing what he has done with his past movies, I can't wait to see what he does with this documentary. October is Kevin VanHook's months, so make sure to support him by buying Superman and Batman Vs. Vampires and Werewolves and watching Fantastic Flesh!
Christian Bale should be enjoying the record-breaking success of Batman, but instead he is being questioned by the Scotland Yard for allegedly assaulting his mother and sister according to Sky News.
Bale, 34, is alleged to have lashed out at the two family members in his suite at Park Lane's Dorchester Hotel on Sunday.
The British actor, who plays the Caped Crusader, is being questioned at a central London police station, sources added.
The two women, who live in Dorset, went to a Hampshire police station yesterday to make a formal allegation.
The complaint about the actor was then passed to the Metropolitan Police for further investigation.
A police spokeswoman said: "A 34-year-old man attended a central London police station this morning by appointment.
"He was arrested in connection with an allegation of assault. He currently remains in custody."
Maybe because I have been watching Cristian Bale movies since he was a kid, there is something about this that just seems off. Why attack his mother and sister during what should have been the best weekend of his life. But then again, you just never know. I am sure more will come out as the day goes on.
What a way of focusing the spotlight off of Heath Ledger and on to someone else who is the movie.
Terminator 4 or Terminator Salvation is not out until next summer, but by looking at the trailer it looks like Christian Bale will also have next summer’s biggest movie like he will this summer with The Dark Knight!
Hopefully soon he will get an Oscar because he sincerely has sone such an amzing job at whatever type of role he is given like in Newsies, American Psycho, Little Woman and Batman.
Ryan Philippe, star of the upcoming Flags of Our Fathers, told IGN that rumors of his playing Harvey Dent, a.k.a. Two-Face, in Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins sequel, Dark Knight, are not true. "Chris Nolan is great and I thought the first one was amazing," Philippe said during an interview for Flags. "But it is just a rumor at this point; I don’t know if they even have a script. But who knows at this point." Philippe also noted that he is amused by the preponderance of rumors surrounding his career, most of which are news to him. "It’s funny – I always wonder how things like that kind of start," Philippe said. "It’s interesting, [because] I’m working down in Austin right now shooting a movie and on the radio it will come on, ‘Ryan Philippe is playing this person.’ And I’m like, ‘Really? That’s the first I’ve heard.’"
