Demi Moore was out in NY yesterday and the actress was looking a little thinner than she normally does. Her waist seemed smaller than normal in that tight red dress, but I wouldn’t say she looked “scary thin”.
Well Joan Rivers saw her in person and here is what she said, “Demi Moore was on my flight from NY to LA last night. She is scary thin. Very sad to see….” I personally think the comedian who has always been very petite, should not make comments like that. I mean looking at Demi, she does look very thin, but she doesn’t look unhealthy in these pictures. She still has some fat in her face. Hopefully as soon as the rumor dies down about her marriage, her weight will go up some and Joan will just go off on her fashion choices instead.
One of the most awkward moments at the Emmys did not happen on the stage, but it happened backstage. I know many people thought that Charlie Sheen‘s heartfelt speech to his former-show was a little awkward, but I am sure that was a piece of cake as compared to finally meeting Ashton Kutcher a few minutes later backstage.
The former Two and a Half Men star Tweeted the above top two pictures and said, “Giving the new kid a little advice..! With @aplusk backstage at the Emmy’s…” Which he then followed with, “Seriously… @aplusk great talking to you! We’ll all be watching! Make us proud!!” So how did the new Two and a Half Men star feel about their chance meeting? APlusk Tweeted, “@charliesheen good to meet you too. Wishing you the best on your new gig.” Before having a request for the man whose job he took over, “@charliesheen btw I’d love to connect with you at some point and talk about Human trafficking and what @dnafoundation is working on.” Ummm, who wants to tell Ashton that Sheen has a thing for hookers?
So how shocking was their special moment? Jeremy Piven Tweeted the final picture of the two of them and said, “This just happens!” I think his candid photo says it best!
Now when it comes to how Charlie’s former-costars feel about his speech, they though that was the man they know and love. Holland Taylor who played his mom Tweeted, “@charliesheen Wasn’t it great! SO glad he stepped up. Yes, the exchange moved me a lot. That reach across time and space.” And Melanie Lynskey, his TV wife(?), girlfriend and stalker Rose Tweeted, “@HollandTaylor @charliesheen love this exchange.& charlie I was so happy to see your gracious & sweet self on TV tonight. Lovely job. xo mel” I guess there is a side of him, you and I have never seen.
And tonight we will see him die on Two and a Half Men as the show returns without him on CBS at 9p.
Ashton Kutcher taped the season premiere of Ellen yesterday that is going to air on Monday, and you can say that he was completely uninhibited with her. The new Two and a Half Men star told her that the ad that he did for the show with his two costars without any clothes was such a big success that he has decided to give up wearing clothes. Don’t think anyone will mind, I know I don’t!
And he isn’t the only one taking on the clothing option stance because he wife Tweeted a picture of herself nude. Mrs Kutcher said, “remember…..you’ve got your own back” and showed us her’s! I guess anything that Ashton can do, his wife can do it better!
Yesterday Ashton Kutcher was on The Late Show with David Letterman and for the first time he talked about his role on Two and a Half Men. Well as much as he can talk about it because CBS wants to keep as much as they can secret until the show debuts on September 19th. Letterman tried to get as much as he can out of him, but Ashton acted like the fatwa was on him instead if he said too much and said very little.
After the CBS host realized he wouldn’t reveal anything, he asked Mr Demi Moore what it is like working on the show. When Ashton talked about that, you can tell he is completely humbled about being asked to be on the show. He told a story about his days on That ’70s Show and how Robin Williams came to the set to see Kurtwood Smith. After Williams left, Kutcher asked Smith what he said and he told him that he he wishes he can do a sitcom again. That sentiment stuck with him and you can tell it influenced him to take on the difficult role.
You can tell from this interview that Ashton is taking this role seriously and loves what he is doing. And just for that it makes me ever more excited to see him join the top rated comedy on US TV!
Today is the CBS Summer Press Day at the TCAs and CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler teased us what about what Ashton Kutcher’s character will be on Two and a Half Men when it comes back on September 19th at 9p. Because she wants to keep as much as she can for the actual premiere from a marketing stand point of view she didn’t say much. What she did say is that, “I will tell you his name, and I will tell you what he does and a little bit about his character. His name is Walden Schmidt…And he is an Internet billionaire with a broken heart, and it will be a two parter over two weeks.” She would not answer if he was related to Jon Cryer and Angus T Jones’ character, but she added “he is a unique character.” What that means, we will have to wait to see and if any young actor can play a “unique character” it is the That ’70s Show star.
\With every little nugget that CBS gives us about the changes for Two and a Half Men, I get more and more excited for the premiere.
