BTWF: Charlie Sheen in The Execution of Private Slovik
September 25th, 2025 under Before They Were Famous, Charlie Sheen. [ Comments: none ]

Before Charlie Sheen was spending time in jail in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, he was beginning his life of crime in The Execution of Private Slovik. How cute was the 8-year-old in that 1974 movie?

Charlie Sheen tells his truth
August 13th, 2025 under Charlie Sheen. [ Comments: none ]

For decades, Charlie Sheen has been the cause of many scandalous headlines, from drugs to his ties to prostitution to two failed marriages to rehab visits to multiple arrests to that Two and a Half Men breakdown. However, we have never heard him tell his story. That is going to change with aka Charlie Sheen.

Tabloid black hole Charlie Sheen knows what’s been said about him, and he’s finally ready to confess. Directed by Andrew Renzi (Pepsi, Where’s My Jet?), aka Charlie Sheen, tracks his upbringing in Malibu to his effortless rise to megastardom — and dramatic fall, all within the public eye. With a stunning clarity earned through seven years of sobriety, Sheen openly speaks about the subjects and events he’s never discussed publicly before. Through extraordinarily candid interviews with his family, friends, and cast members, including ex-wives Denise Richards and Brooke Mueller, ex-Madam Heidi Fleiss, Jon Cryer, Sean Penn, Ramon Estevez, Chris Tucker, and his drug dealer Marco, the most outrageous moments of Sheen’s life are revisited with raw emotion and exceptional warmth, painting a portrait of a flawed man whose penchant for self-destruction is ultimately no match for the ferocious love and forgiveness he inspires in those closest to him.

You might have noticed that there are two big names in his life who are missing from the list of people they talked to for this doc. His father, Martin Sheen, and brother, Emilio Estevez, declined to appear in it. Renzi explained to Tudum that they wanted him to have his moment. Even though they are missing from the movie, they are still close to him and watched the finished product with him.

No offense to Billy Joel, Eminem, and Mariska Hargitay, this is the must-watch documentary of the year. Congrats to Netflix for snagging it.

aka Charlie Sheen debuts on September 10th.

Charlie Sheen is releasing an autobiography
June 18th, 2025 under Charlie Sheen. [ Comments: none ]

There are very few celebrities who have had a life like Charlie Sheen. We think we know how he led his life, but I am sure we don’t. In September, he is going to share his journey with us in his memoir, The Book of Sheen.

Of all the Hollywood bad boys in history, Charlie Sheen might be the baddest of them all. Now nearly eight years sober, for the first time, and in his own words, Charlie—who wrote the book himself—will truly tell all. He writes of his childhood on film sets with his father Martin Sheen, to his teen years making home movies with the Penn brothers, to early fame with roles in Platoon, Wall Street, and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, to his breakout sitcom role on Spin City, and his controversy-riddled time coping with the chaos of divorces and drugs on the set of Two and a Half Men. Charlie Sheen should not be alive to tell these stories.

But he is alive and he is telling those stories, and I can’t wait to read them on September 9th. That is why I am pre-ordering the autobiography now!

BTW How awesome would it be if he had Chuck Lorre write the last page like it was one of his Vanity Cards?

Charlie Sheen and Chuck Lorre kiss and made up
April 18th, 2023 under Charlie Sheen, Chuck Lorre. [ Comments: none ]

Remember when Charlie Sheen and EP Chuck Lorre worked together on Two and a Half Men? And then, the actor was fired because he was reportedly struggling with drugs and alcohol, along with having a public meltdown and going off on his boss.

Well, that boss is a masochist because Deadline is reporting that Sheen and Lorre are going to be working together again.

Lorre has a comedy called How To Be a Bookie coming to Max, and he hired Sheen for a recurring role. The show is described as a veteran bookie (Sebastian Maniscalco) struggles to survive the impending legalization of sports gambling, increasingly unstable clients, family, co-workers, and a lifestyle that bounces him around every corner of Los Angeles high and low.

We don’t know what Sheen will be doing on the series, but I am hoping he is one of the unstable clients. He won’t even have to act if that is the case. Maybe that is why Lorre opted to work with Sheen again.

Who knows, maybe Lorre will also want to work with some of his other troublesome stars like Roseanne Barr, Brett Butler, and/or Cybill Shepherd on Bookie? So yeah, he is a masochist, but is he that much of one?

Is Charlie Sheen working on a new show with the people from Entourage?
December 31st, 2021 under Charlie Sheen. [ Comments: none ]

Charlie Sheen posted a photo of a script cover and wrote, “2022 gonna be a barn burner!”

So is he doing a new show with Doug Ellin, who produced Entourage? “The Script is Done,” Ellin wrote. “We have the crew. We have 85 percent of our cast, with some very cool surprises, waiting in the wings. Friendship, family, and loyalty (with big laughs) will be at the center of this, and we are pumped. 2022 is going to be a year of comebacks. Let’s all do it together! Victory!”

Some of those other cast members might be Kevin Dillion and Kevin Connolly, who Sheen tagged on his Instagram.

Now, it could be a show, or it could be a podcast because Ellin produces one called Vicory the Podcast. I can’t wait to see what it turns out to be because it will be interesting, whatever it is.
