Claudia Conway auditions for American Idol
February 8th, 2021 under American Idol 9+. [ Comments: none ]

There were rumors that Claudia Conway auditioned for American Idol, and tonight ABC confirmed it. Will she make her parents, George and Kellyanne Conway, proud? We will have to tune in to find out.

Am I the only one hoping the teen makes it to Hollywood? I think she needs some time away from her parents.

Luke Bryan sings Lionel Richie
December 14th, 2020 under American Idol 9+, Lionel Richie, Luke Bryan. [ Comments: none ]

Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie have been judges on American Idol for four seasons now. That makes me wonder if they know each other’s songs. It turns out the Country singer knows the Motown one’s hit Hello.

Why do we know this? Because Bryan sang it as he opened the gift that Richie got him. Which was the Commodore singer’s cologne.

That is really cheap. I mean, giving someone something from your own product line is worse than a regift. Most people won’t know that their gift was given to the giver by another person. However, everyone will know when it is your item because it has your face and name on it.

Good thing for the boys that they are boys or Katy Perry would give them her shoes.

Back to the boys, now I want to hear Richie sing Bryan’s One Margarita while drinking one. Then the two of them can go party all night, all night long.

American Idol is back at work with new mom Katy Perry
October 7th, 2020 under American Idol 9+, Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, Luke Bryan, Ryan Seacrest. [ Comments: none ]

(ABC/John Fleenor)

Just about a month ago, Katy Perry gave birth to her daughter, Daisy Dove. Now, she is back at work on American Idol with Lionel Richie, Luke Bryan, Ryan Seacrest.

I actually feel bad for the boys and the crew of the ABC singing competition because you know all she is going to do is talk about her daughter. Imagine all of the poor editors and producers who will have to edit down all of her talk about her baby.

On a positive note, she looks good for someone who just popped out a baby. On a negative note, when was the last time Seacrest showered? He looks greasy. Normally, he is so put together.

Lionel Richie, Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and Ryan Seacrest are still American Idols

ABC

Dancing with the Stars changed things up this season by eliminating Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews from the show for Tyra Banks. After that announcement, I wondered if ABC would do the same with American Idol. Today we found out the singing competition is keeping all of their talent around.

“Katy [Perry], Lionel [Richie] and Luke [Bryan] are fun, astute and really know how to spot talent,” said executive producer and showrunner Trish Kinane. “Their chemistry is undeniable, and we are delighted that they, along with host Ryan Seacrest, are returning to find the next superstar and take ‘American Idol’ to new heights next season.”

TBH the only judge who knew how to find talent, was Paula Abdul. After she left the Idol, they never had a huge artist again. Maybe they should change things up and find musicians who really have an eye for talent. What do you think?

BTW Since Perry is coming back, we have a new drinking game for this season. Every time she talks about her baby, take a sip from your baby bottle filled with alcohol. If she wears something ridiculous, then you have to finish the whole bottle by the end of that episode. Doesn’t that sound fun?
