About a year ago, Hulu started working on a new Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Sarah Michelle Gellar was going to reprise her role.
I say was because today the actress revealed that the streamer is not moving forward with Buffy the Vampire Slayer: New Sunnydale.
The project was from Hamnet director Chloé Zhao. “I want to thank Chloé Zhao, because I never thought I would find myself back in Buffy’s stylish yet affordable boots,” Gellar said. “And thanks to Chloé, I was reminded how much I love her and how much she means not only to me but to all of you. And this doesn’t change any of that. And I promise if the apocalypse actually comes, you can still beep me.”
The reboot seemed a like a boots, I mean shoo-in, to be picked up to series. But I guess not. This is the second reboot of hers that looked like it was going to happen. The first was Cruel Intentions. Maybe it is her?
About a month ago, Burger King’s President, Tom Curtis, gave out his phone number, (305) 874-0520, and asked us to tell him what changes we think he can make to the burger joint.
So far, he has made changes to the Whopper and is working on the fries. And now, it looks like he is cleaning house.
The Burger King was seen outside the office building, sitting on the curb, looking sad, with a box of his office knick-knacks beside him.
So, has Curtis heard our complaints about how scary the mascot is, and fired him like they flame-grill their Whoppers? We don’t because there was no caption with the photo.
I thought I would be happy when this day finally came because he has given me plenty of nightmares. But because he looks so sad, it makes me sad. And I hope he gets his job back. Long live the Burger King.
So Harry Styles shot a promo to promote that he will be hosting and be the musical guest on Saturday Night Live tomorrow night. While I am sure he wanted me to look at his eyes, I could not stop staring at his buns, as in the cinnamon buns on his shirt by his nipples. Now, I know what it feels like when the boys can’t look up at my eyes.
Tonight at 10p on CBS, Boston Blue celebrates St. Patrick’s Day. At least they are hoping to.
The episode starts off with Lena (Sonequa Martin-Green) showing up at a scene. When she gets there, she hears shots being fired. The person who called is dead, and now she needs to find out why.
Her, Danny (Donnie Wahlberg), and Sara (Maggie Lawson) learn that the victim always wanted to be a cop, and he had something to share. What is it? He found out that there is a threat to the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. However, he didn’t say what it was before he died.
Therefore, the clock is ticking, and they need to find out what the threat is before there is another Boston Marathon situation. Can they do it?
They need to do it because Danny and his son, Sean (Mika Amonsen), want to celebrate their first St. Patty’s Day in Boston, a day the Silvers hate because of all the non-Bostonians who come to celebrate and ruin their city.
Wahlberg says that is the one thing that Boston does better than NYC. As a Bronx girl who went to NYC’s parade for the holiday, he is wrong.
Back to Boston Blue. The police procedural keeps proving that it is a worthy spinoff from Blue Bloods. It was the push the legacy needed.
NBC Syndication turned into the Grim Reaper today because they cancelled all four of their shows, which are still in production. Those four shows are: Access Hollywood, Access Hollywood Live, The Steve Wilkos Show, and Karamo.
“NBCUniversal is making changes to our first-run syndication division to better align with the programming preferences of local stations,” said Frances Berwick, Chairman, Bravo & Peacock Unscripted, who oversees the division. “The company will remain active in the distribution of our existing program library and other off-network titles, while winding down production of our first-run shows. These shows have provided audiences with great talk and entertainment content for many years and we’re very proud of the teams behind them.”
This is a very sad day in original syndication. And I hope they really thought this through before they put all of those people out of work.
And without those shows and The Kelly Clarkson Show, which is ending on her own accord, there are going to be a lot of holes in NBC’s daytime programming. There is only so much local news can cover, especially when the firing squad keeps taking people out in the newsrooms.
Having said all of that, I wonder if NBC will be taking Days of Our Lives back from Peacock. I am sure they regret that decision.
