Jamie Lee Curtis has been around celebrities since her father’s sperm entered her mother’s egg. You see, her parents, Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh, are Hollywood royalty from the Golden Age of movies.
So you would think she has never asked a celebrity for an autograph, unless they were someone like The Beatles, Elvis Presley, Steve McQueen, David Cassidy, or Elizabeth Taylor. And you would be wrong.
Yesterday, when she was on The Late Show, Stephen Colbert asked her questions from The Colbert Questionert.
One of the things he wanted to know is if she ever asked anyone for the John Hancock. At first, she could not think of anyone. But then she started giggling uncontrollably.
After 35 seconds, she finally blurted out, “Urkle.” While still laughing, she revealed she got it for her child and keeps that signature in her daughter’s scrapbook.
How was the late night host going to get her to stop laughing? The next question was, “What do you think happens when we die? Talk about a buzzkill.
He had a few more questions, but it was the last one that touched our hearts. What was it? He wanted her to describe the rest of her life in five words. They are: “Free. Married. Mommy. Grandmoomy. Loved!”
We can help her with the last one. Although she should know by now, she is very much loved by all of us, and that is not going to change anytime soon.
Before people were dancing to Alanis Morissette’s music, she didn’t like the music they were playing at the party on You Can’t Do That on Television. How cute was the 12-year-old in that 1986 episode?
CBS cancelled Blue Bloods, but fans still wanted more. So they gave Donny Wahlberg his own show, Boston Blue.
Today, they shared the first video look, and I think fans of the father show will check out the spinoff.
BOSTON BLUE stars Donnie Wahlberg as he reprises his role as NYPD detective Danny Reagan in a universe expansion of the long-running top drama BLUE BLOODS. In this new series, Reagan takes a position with the Boston Police Department and is paired with detective Lena Silver (Sonequa Martin-Green), the eldest daughter of a prominent law enforcement family. The Silver family is comprised of Boston district attorney Mae Silver (Gloria Reuben), Boston PD detective Lena Silver, police superintendent Sarah Silver (Maggie Lawson), rookie cop Jonah Silver (Marcus Scribner) and renowned Baptist pastor Reverend Edwin Peters (Ernie Hudson). As Reagan settles into his new city, he also hopes to reconnect with his younger son, Sean (Mika Amonsen), who is beginning his own career in Boston.
There have been a few celebrities who have pitched on Shark Tank, like Rob Gronkowski, Metta World Peace, and David Schwimmer. This season, they can add one more name to that list, and it is Pete Davidson.
Today, ABC released a clip of the comedian pitching his sock company, DoubleSoul, with the founder, Ben Rosenbaum. The two men are asking for $500,000 for 4% of their company.
Since Mark Cuban is no longer part of the show, it will be interesting to see if anyone makes him an offer. This so would have been up the billionaire’s alley.
BTW, am I the only one who is bummed that Davidson didn’t go into the Tank with Colin Jost to try to sell their Staten Island Ferry?
Shark Tark debuts on its new night, September 24th.
