Krispy Kreme is giving away a cup of Joe…Jonas
September 24th, 2025 under Fast Food, Jonas Brothers, Krispy Kreme. [ Comments: none ]

Sabrina Carpenter is selling Espresso with Dunkin’, but Krispy Kreme is giving the milk away for free, as in you can get a Cup of Joe…Jonas with milk if you want!

That’s right! On Monday, aka National Coffee Day, for one day only, you can get a FREE medium hot or iced coffee and a FREE doughnut of your choice, no purchase necessary, in their stores or via their drive-thru.

“I went and found the Krispy Kreme team and sat down with them, and I said, ‘I want to make National Coffee Day history,’ and that’s what this is,” said Jonas, Jonas Brothers singer and Krispy Kreme fan.

And with that, Joe is my favorite JoBro. Actually, I’ve always been a sucker for him.

Before Wendell Pierce was an NYPD captain on Elsbeth, his friend was trying to help him find out who hurt him on One Life to Live. The 29-year-old gave a powerful performance in that 1992 episode.

Wicked: For Good looks like epic
September 24th, 2025 under Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Jonathan Bailey. [ Comments: none ]

Wicked was a masterpiece that ended on a cliffhanger. On November 21st, we will see how the story of Glinda (Ariana Grande) and Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) concludes in Wicked: For Good.

Today, we got a sneak peek of their final songs and how their tale continues with a wedding, a little Wizard of Oz mixed in, and how their friendship changes for good and for bad in the final trailer.

Elphaba, now demonized as The Wicked Witch of the West, lives in exile, hidden within the Ozian forest while continuing her fight for the freedom of Oz’s silenced Animals and desperately trying to expose the truth she knows about The Wizard (Jeff Goldblum).

Glinda, meanwhile, has become the glamorous symbol of Goodness for all of Oz, living at the palace in Emerald City and reveling in the perks of fame and popularity. Under the instruction of Madame Morrible (Oscar® winner Michelle Yeoh), Glinda is deployed to serve as an effervescent comfort to Oz, reassuring the masses that all is well under the rule of The Wizard.

As Glinda’s stardom expands and she prepares to marry Prince Fiyero (Olivier award winner and Emmy and SAG nominee Jonathan Bailey) in a spectacular Ozian wedding, she is haunted by her separation from Elphaba. She attempts to broker a conciliation between Elphaba and The Wizard, but those efforts will fail, driving Elphaba and Glinda only further apart. The aftershocks will transform Boq (Tony nominee Ethan Slater) and Fiyero forever, and threaten the safety of Elphaba’s sister, Nessarose (Marissa Bode), when a girl from Kansas comes crashing into all their lives.

As an angry mob rises against the Wicked Witch, Glinda and Elphaba will need to come together one final time. With their singular friendship now the fulcrum of their futures, they will need to truly see each other, with honesty and empathy, if they are to change themselves, and all of Oz, for good.

I thought the first movie was an epic, but I was wrong. The sequel looks even bigger. Who knew that was possible? John M. Chu, the visionary behind the musical!

Normally, I don’t want the Halloween season to end, but this year I do because I can’t wait to see a movie that is already a classic for generations to come.

Panera Bread gets their Fall on with Gilmore Girls’ sexy men
September 24th, 2025 under Fast Food, I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell, Supernatural. [ Comments: none ]

Ever since Gilmore Girls debuted in 2000, it has been associated with the Fall season. Because of that, Panera Bread decided to use two of the series’ hotties, Dean and Logan, I mean Jared Padalecki and Matt Czuchry, to promote their hot Fall menu items, which debuted today.

  • NEW Harvest Medley Chicken Salad – Mixed greens and fresh arugula tossed in balsamic vinaigrette, topped with whole grain blend, grilled chicken, mandarin oranges, feta, dried cranberries, pumpkin seeds, toasted pecans, and crunchy beet strips.
  • NEW Crème Brûlée Latte – Freshly brewed espresso, foamed milk and naturally flavored crème brûlée syrup, topped with whipped cream and salted caramel sugar.
  • Black Bean Soup – Returning to menu after 7 years, this guest favorite is a hearty vegetarian soup featuring black beans, onion, celery, red bell pepper, carrots, lima beans, potatoes, lemon juice, and garlic.
  • Autumn Squash Soup – A Panera seasonal classic featuring butternut squash and pumpkin blended with vegetable broth, honey, apple juice, and warm spices like cinnamon and curry, finished with sweet cream and topped with roasted pumpkin seeds.
  • Hearty Fireside Chili – A rich chili made with beef, kidney beans, fire-roasted tomatoes, and green chili peppers, simmered in a flavorful broth with chili spices and cilantro.
  • Plus, the return of Panera’s seasonal Pumpkin Cookie.

And with that new commercial, millennial girls wearing Uggs and skinny jeans are running to Panera to try one of those delicious meals. So the cafe better turn up the Backstreet Boys because they want it that way.

And they also want Jess. Why isn’t Milo Ventimiglia in that ad too? What is he, a Spring fling who is part of a different menu?

9-1-1 jumps the planet
September 24th, 2025 under Ryan Murphy. [ Comments: none ]

The Fonz jumped the shark on Happy Days, and the sitcom was never as good as it was before that infamous moment. Since then, if a series has a moment that defines the exact storyline when a show’s creativity has reached the point of no return, it is said to have Jumped the Shark.

Well, it looks like 9-1-1 is going to have that moment in the season premiere when Athena (Angela Bassett) and Hen (Aisha Hinds) appear to go to space, possibly to rescue “a billionaire tech giant who is involved in a life-or-death emergency.”

I am assuming that is why they are jumping off the Earth, even though it does not say who they are going to rescue. However, during the first promo for the ninth season, we hear Maddie (Jennifer Love Hewitt) getting a 9-1-1 phone call from someone saying the sky is falling.

Are the two connected? We will find out when the first responders’ procedural returns to ABC on October 9th.

Now, back to 9-1-1. Almost every Ryan Murphy show has a Jump the Shark moment. I hope this is not 9-1-1’s time to dim. I still enjoy watching it, and it is all about me.
