Last week, Lorne Michaels said that Saturday Night Live was going to go through some casting changes, and he was not kidding.
So far this week, Devon Walker, Emil Wakim, and Michael Longfellow have announced that they will not be back. Personally, I didn’t care because I didn’t know who they were.
However, today, there was one more name added to the list, and it is one I have heard of. Heidi Gardner will not be back for her ninth season, according to Vulture.
We don’t have to worry about her because she is very busy with Shrinking and Homes.com commercials.
In honor of her leaving, let’s watch and laugh with her as she breaks in that infamous Beavis and Butt-Head skit.
On Tuesday, we found out that Nick Gehlfuss would be reprising his role as Dr. Will Halstead on Chicago Med. Fans of the show were excited for this because it is nice to have an original back on the medical drama.
You see, since the show debuted in 2025, there have been a lot of cast changes. Because of that, there are only three OGs left: S. Epatha Merkerson, Oliver Platt, and Marlyne Barrett.
Strike that, only two left. That is because today, Deadline reported that Barrett is stepping away from the series for undisclosed “personal reasons.” And everyone is hoping that her departure is only temporary.
Three years ago, she announced that she was diagnosed with uterine and ovarian cancer and underwent aggressive chemotherapy to battle the disease. Later that year, she got a hysterectomy. Then, in September 2024, she revealed that she is in remission.
Chicago Med returns to NBC for its 10th season on October 1st.
In 1999, Heather Locklear was hired during the fourth season of Spin City to ease some of the workload on Michael J. Fox, who had recently been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. But he left at the end of that season because it was too much for him. However, they had a good 26 episodes of laughter before his departure.
This weekend, the two of them were reunited at the Toronto Fan Expo, and you can tell they created a special bond during that year they worked together. So much so that she wrote, “With one of my all time favorites.”
Seriously, how sweet is this photo of their reunion? You can tell that she genuinely enjoyed working with him then and seeing him now; and the feeling is mutual.
Seth Meyers takes questions from the audience during tapings of Late Night, and a woman wanted to know what was the favorite joke he told from his time on Saturday Night Live.
He did not answer that question. Instead, he told her about “the joke that bombed the hardest during dress [rehearsal].”
What is it? He put his head down in shame and said, “A man in Washington state was arrested for animal cruelty after he was caught having sex with the family dog. Even worse, it was makeup sex.” And then he giggled in his cute little way as the audience moaned.
“The thing I always love about it is how you all groaned at the end,” he explained. “But you kind of like waiting after. After ‘sex with the family dog’, let’s hear him out. We don’t know his reasons yet.”
This was his worst joke, but it was not his only one. His co-anchor, Amy Poehler, would try to tell him not to do certain jokes. He didn’t listen, told them, the audience hated them, and then she would say, “I told you so.”
I would love to know what some of them were. Someone should write a book or release the videos from dress telling or showing all the awful things that didn’t make it all the way to Saturday Night Live, they can call it Saturday Night Dead.

Yesterday, the actress fell coming out of a NYC building while filming The Devil Wears Prada 2.
And just like a Timex watch, she takes a licking and keeps on ticking.
As much as I want to make fun of her, I can’t. Because I sprained both my legs in a two-year period, one falling off a ladder and the other falling down some stairs. Therefore, us klutzes have to stick together! Klutzy girls unite!!!
