In 2003, CBS cancelled S.W.A.T., only to pick it up a few days later for a final season. However, that final season did not turn out to be one because the network picked it up for another one.

Then it seemed like its luck had finally run out, as CBS cancelled the series and did not reverse its decision.

While CBS is still a no, two days after the series finale aired, Sony was not done with Shemar Moore. So today, they announced that they are giving Hondo his own spinoff, S.W.A.T. Exiles.

Katherine Pope, President, Sony Pictures Television Studios, said, “We couldn’t be more excited to bring the next chapter of S.W.A.T. to life – both for our incredibly dedicated fans of the original franchise and for a new generation of viewers. We’re grateful to our incredible partners Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Jason Ning and Shemar Moore for embarking on this journey with us. This team’s commitment to the global fanbase, to our beloved crew and to our city runs deep!”

S.W.A.T. Exiles is described as: After a high-profile mission goes sideways, Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson [Moore] is pulled out of forced retirement to lead a last-chance experimental SWAT unit made up of untested, unpredictable young recruits. Hondo must bridge a generational divide, navigate clashing personalities, and turn a squad of outsiders into a team capable of protecting the city and saving the program that made him who he is.

The 10-episode first season is expected to film this summer. Maybe by then, someone will have picked it up for air. As now, the series has no home.

Michael Che finally publicly apologizes to Scarlett Johansson
May 18th, 2025 under Colin Jost, Saturday Night Live, Scarlett Johannsson. [ Comments: none ]

Scarlett Johansson hosted the final episode of Saturday Night Live’s 50th season. Even though it was the first time we saw her host this season, she has been a big part of the show this year. That is because she is married to Colin Jost, in case you didn’t know.

Back in December, Jost and Michael Che exchanged jokes during Weekend Update. And the person who paid the biggest price during their jokes was Johansson. Che made his co-anchor say that his wife’s vagina looks like roast beef after giving birth to their son Cosmo.

It was something that shocked her and everyone else who watched. But the Josts stayed quiet. That is until yesterday.

Once again, the two men exchanged jokes that they wrote for the other one, and it was finally time for the couple to get their revenge. So, Scarlett was called out and sat next to Che, so that he could read the apology that Jost had written for his partner to read.

While I laughed out loud several times, I thought the jokes could have been a lot meaner. Maybe next time! Who knows? Maybe someday Che will have a wife that Jost can say something disgusting about. Who am I kidding? That will never happen.

Joe Biden diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer
May 18th, 2025 under Politics. [ Comments: none ]

President Joe Biden dedicated most of his life to the United States. Now that he has earned his time off, he got some devastating news.

The 82-year-old was diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer.

“Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms,” the statement reads. “On Friday he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone. While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone- sensitive which allows for effective management. The President and his family are reviewing treatment options with his physicians.”

Let’s pray for him and his family during this difficult time.

And to all the people who think they are doctors because Robert F. Kennedy Jr is running our healthcare departments, you are not.

Cancer does what it wants. And not every person’s cancer follows what Dr. Google or Grok says it does when they are diagnosed. If it did, we would have already found a cure, and no one would die from it.

Yes, prostate cancer is one of the most curable cancers. However, not everyone beats it. Let’s pray that Biden is one of the few who beats it at this stage. Lord knows, he has been through hell, and still served this country with love and dedication. He did all he could with class, even though he, his family, and his faith were attacked. And they still continued to be attacked.

Let the attacks stop.

The Eddington red carpet was all the buzz at Cannes, thanks to the movie’s stars Emma Stone, Pedro Pascal, and Austin Butler.

How buzzworthy was it? Even the bees were checking it out. However, Stone was less than thrilled about the one who was buzzing around her. So, her male co-stars tried to save her.

But there is a reason why she is a two-time Oscar winner, and they are not.

The Final Destination franchise’s EP details the franchise’s deaths!
May 16th, 2025 under The Final Destination. [ Comments: none ]

Final Destination has some of the greatest deaths throughout Horror movie history. Have you ever wondered how death came about?

Craig Perry, who produced all the movies, detailed every death in the first five movies to Entertainment Weekly. And the intricacy of each one made me appreciate them even more. So much so that I plan on rewatching the films again and seeing each death in a new light.

And then, when I’m done, I can go see Final Destination Bloodlines again, because it was that enjoyable.

The best part was that they gave Tony Todd the sendoff he deserved. RIP.
