Madonna and Elton John started the millennium off as friends. Shortly after that, he started a feud with her, and they have not spoken since.
However, that all changed on Saturday night when Madonna went to Saturday Night Live to finally talk to him about it.
We Finally Buried the Hatchet!!!
I went to see @eltonjohn perform on SNL this weekend!! WOW.
I remembered when I was in high school- I snuck out of the house one night to see Elton perform live in Detroit! It was an unforgettable performance that helped me understand the transformative power of music.
Seeing him perform when I was in high school changed the course of my life. I had always felt like an outsider growing up and watching him on stage helped me to understand that it was OK to be different-to stand out- to take the road, less traveled by. In fact, it was essential.
Over the decades it hurt me to know that someone I admired so much shared his dislike of me publicly as an artist. I didn’t understand it. I was told Elton John was the musical guest on SNL and I decided to go.
I needed to go backstage and confront him . When I met him, the first thing out of his mouth was, “Forgive Me” and the wall between us fell down.
Forgiveness is a powerful tool. Within minutes. We were hugging.
Then he told me had written a song for me and he wanted to collaborate. It was like everything came full circle!!
And you can tell everybody, This is Your Song……….
I can’t wait to hear their duet! That is, if the two of them can get along long enough to record it.
UPDATE: Elton responded to Madonna. To see what he said, then click here!
Before Susan Sarandon didn’t want anyone else raising her children in Stepmom, she was thinking of putting her son up for adoption on A World Apart. She is a much better actress now than when she was 24 in that 1971 episode.
Kenny Loggins’ song Footloose is as synonymous with Kevin Bacon as it is with the movie. Therefore, it makes sense that when a DJ sees the actor at a wedding, they put it on the rotation. And Bacon hates it. However, it is not why you think he does.
“The reason is, I mean, it sounds like it, it sounds sort of obnoxious because the movie was so great for me and we played in the band. And I’ve played the song, you know, a million times. And the star at the wedding is the bride and the groom,” he told Drew Barrymore on her talk show today. “So if you go to a wedding, it always starts, this is, so many times it starts out cool, and then, you know, the drinking starts. And at about 10 o’clock, the, the DJ plays that song. People kind of form a circle around me and start clapping like I’m a trained monkey. I mean, and expect me to, you know, do a thing and I just, my feeling is I’m not the I’m not the focus here like the, you know, it’s, it’s gotta be about those two people so that’s why I tend to not want to hear it at a wedding.”
That makes perfect sense. I love that he has remained so humble, even though every actor is Six Degrees away from him, including me!
Have you ever wanted to eat one of the Kardashian women? Well, now you can. That is because Kris Jenner and her daughters, Kourtney, Kim, Khloe, Kendall, and Kylie, have teamed up with Krumbl, I mean Crumbl, so that they can have a sweet treat made in their honor.
Everyone’s favorite momager gives a nod to nostalgia with the Kris’ Classic Yellow Layer Cake. Reflecting her clean-eating lifestyle, Kourtney’s Flourless Chocolate Cake is not only gluten-friendly and free of refined sugars but also decadently rich and chocolatey. Snickerdoodle got a glow-up with Kim’s Snickerdoodle Crumb Cake Cookie—a cinnamon lover’s dream featuring streusel and white chips. The ooey-gooey goodness of Khloe’s Cookies & Cream Skillet Cookie is balanced with scoops of fresh vanilla bean cookies & cream mousse. Kendall’s Cookie Dough Cupcake Cookie takes the Crumbl signature to a whole new level, by topping buttercream on a warm brown sugar cookie. Last but not least, Kylie’s Pink Confetti Sugar Cookie is a playful twist on a classic sugar cookie.
“We’ve never had an entire menu takeover before, and who better to do that than the legendary ladies of the Kardashian Jenner Family,” says Sawyer Hemsley, CBO and Co-Founder of Crumbl. “Iconic family meets iconic desserts—it just makes sense.”
These Kardashian baking goods are only available until Saturday, the 12th.
